raja, If you have a key with an i printed on it you can access the net. Please ask your service provider to activate the GPRS on your number. After that they will give you the settings too. Install them and start surfing.

i think there could be a problem with the headphone jack, if it is shorting out, it is manipulated into thinking that there are headphones plugged in when there are not.

solution: turn the phone off, and remove the battery. get an old tooth brush, and get some methylated spirits. and start cleaning the port where the headphones plug into, then let it dry.

You can buy one chargin port from your local vendor. Fixing it is easy as it does not involve any soldering. Just open the phone, remove the old one and put the new port in place. Make sure you do not shear any flexi prints.

Contact LG definitely. They manufactured the phone, they will have all details for resolving the issue.

I contact LG on a daily basis in AT&T technical support and they're representatives are very nice and know what they're talking about unlike most other manufacturers (especially Motorola!).

PUK and PIN are in the domain of your service provider. You must call the helpline of your service provider and ask them for a new PUK. The default is 00000000 (eight zeros) but that will not work now. try it. Moreover, if you give wrong PUK 5 times your SIM gets locked and can then be unlocked by the service provider only. So, call the helpline and bet a new PUK.

the card memory is too large for the phone... an SD card with a lower memory will most likely work....i had a 2gb sd card that will not work in a samsung sgh 500 as it will only take a max of 512 mb...put it in a samsung sgh u900...no probs...or try to format the card whe it is in said phone...if that doesn't work...try a lower memory card.

I called LG and it needs a factory reconfigure so I will throw the phone away.

1.you will need first of subscribe for gprs from service provider
2.then get setting of gprs on your phone (send me provider name i will send u settings)

Only way out now is to get the firmware re-installed. And not to use so many passwords in future as one tends to forget them. And in any case they are a nuisance even for the owner. Remove the card before you do that to protect your data on the card.
