Vtech Cordless 6041 Phone - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My cordless phone is clicking when i dial.
Jeanne fist a background history lesson - there are two dialing modes in existence one is pulse or earlier on was known as decadic dialing. This is where the phone would break the connection a number of times to represent the number dialed. Remember the old dial phones that you would dial a nine and it would spin around back to its original position and would break the line nine times . Very Very slow way to Dial.
now to the 21st century - Tone dialing was invented also know as multi tone frequency dialing MFTD by sending two frequency tones numbers and symbols could be encoded to pass through the phone line quickly.

How can I block a caller from calling me.
Depending on your service provider, you can block a call and specify the number to be blocked with hitting (*60). The phone will not ring when that person calls.
Another thing is anonymous call blocking which block well... anonymous calls. =]
Can't forward from my vtech to my att cell no matter what I'd do
Call forwarding is NOT a function or feature of the VTech 6041
cordless phones.
It is offered by some telephone service providers, but their
procedures are proprietary and specific to that individual
telephone (service) company -- if they offer it at all.
Good luck!
How to answer missed calls
You're kidding, right. They're MISSED calls. That means they called and you weren't there. The phone stores the number to let you know they tried. The only thing you can do to "answer" them, is to call them back yourself at the number listed.
My phone says 'No Line' what does that mean?
it means that there is no phone line active at that outlet. you may need to call your local phone service provider to activate that line or move the phone to an outlet that is active.
How do i remove the new voice mail icon
You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

How can I call back a private number on my vtech house phone
You can't. When caller-ID shows "Private", it means that the caller does not want you to know what number they are calling from. (Tip: These are good messages to let the answering machine answer. If they want you to call back, they'll have to leave a number.)
