Hi, Irene Garla!When did you start experiencing this type of issue from your cordless phone? Usually you get echoes of your own voice when your base phone is on speaker mode. Hi! Some phone can be muted using the silence mode->this way the phone will ring but it vibrates instead of a loud preset song. So just press and hold this button "#" and the phone will turn the silent mode on/off.

Press "Prog" on the handset.

Press the arrow button beneath the phone's display until you reach "Ringer," then press "Select."

Press the arrow button until you reach "Ringer On," then press "OK." The phone should beep to confirm your selection.
