Gas ovens / stovetop that use gas and not electricity. These work by igniting gas and use actual flame on the the stovetop.
Newest cook top styles, such as the induction or halogen cook tops combine the same style to produce more even heating. Some of these ovens feature thermal limiters or thermostats that regulate the burner system. I offer free advice bcuz God is so good!GAS OVENS
The spark igniter tip is dirty (can clean it with either a little wire brush or a piece of fine sandpaper).
2) The Pilot flame is too low, and the tip of the igniter is not in the flame good enough. (the flame acts as a circuit when it touches the tip & completes the circuit).
3) The spark module is no good and needs to be replaced.(But 1 & 2 are your best bet).
spark module does not sense the flame when it's on. The spark igniter is also the flame sensor which provides feedback to the spark module.
Make sure the igniter is properly aligned with the burner lighting holes and it is clean. All lighting holes must be clean too. You can enlarge them using a drill bit one size bigger.
If it would not fix the problem, replace the bake burner and the igniter.
There is a small chance for the spark module itself to be bad as well.
The oven safety valve
(also called the gas valve) is the part that ensures that gas is not released until the igniter has reached the correct temperature needed to ignite the gas. While this part can fail, it is uncommon. If the hot surface igniter does not glow you should first verify that you have voltage to the circuit. This is a live voltage check and should be performed by a qualified person. If voltage is lost at the valve terminals then you should verify the continuity of the bi-metal in the valve using a multi-meter.
Use the regular bake setting.... run the oven at 350.... the 14 lb. bird will take about 4-5 hours.....convection moves air and can tend to dry out the bird...
Hi, If your electric oven is not heating then you probably have a bad heating lelement in your oven. This is not that hard to fix yourself... Check out this tip that I wrote about the Oven not heating problem..
Hi, Cycling the power off and then on again will sometimes reset it...often you will have to call the customer service number to get the steps to take to unlock that...
There are a few things to check for. Make sure the electrode ( the small metal piece that the spark comes off from ) is clean and the holes in the burner are clean, use a pin or paper clip to clean out the burner holes andNOTa tooth pick as these can break off and make things worse. The next thing to check for are theignition switchesunder the surface control knobs, the switches can twist and break and keep the spark module on and the spark keeps "clicking" even when the burner is light. If every thing looks good, you may have a badsparkmodule, replace it. Sometimes cleaning can get moisture into the surface switches, try drying them with an hair dryer to see of this will help. thanks.keep updated and please do accept the solution.
Hi. this is a simple fix here. There is a temperature sensor located inside the back panel of your oven. this sensor is resistance based, and it transfers actual oven temperature, via resistance signal. The control board interprets this signal as actual true temperature, through logical convergence.
The actual temp sensor has failed. Simply replace the sensor if the wire harness is not affected or worn. I would advise to check for loose connection between the control and actual sensor. Check the sensor housing, as well, for damaged and welded contacts. replace the sensor if all is connected well with no visible faults.
NOTE-You can test the temp sensor by using a multimeter set toX100 or any near setting will do. Any resistance registered will constitute a viable sensor. if resistance is visible through the meter readings, this will confirm that the sensor is not the issue, and the control is faulty.
You have to identify the thermocouple by the flame. Some units run sparks constantly to insure that tha flame stays lit. If you see the thermocouple bulb by the flame it is bad and needs replaced (he may have bypassed it also let me know) http://www.vikingrange.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m10110_viking_primer_2005.pdf
It would be helpful if you have a multi meter. Sorry you are having trouble with the repair man. I hope I can talk you through this but if he has made a mess it could be 10 times more work for you. [email protected]
