Have a whirlpool electric dryer.
Usually, lint has found it's way into the burner chamber. This is often evidenced by small brown spots on clothes. To resolve, unplug the machine and open it up and investigate the burner area.
When finished cleaning, remove the outlet hose, turn on the unit and form an opinion about air flow.....Hook hose back up, turn machine on, and go outside the building, and verify very similar air flow volume. Any restriction will slow drying and allow more lint to get drawn into the air inlet.....

It will power on but will not tumble it will not
Hi
I believe the control is fine rather it is the thermal fuse located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct that is bad and should be replaced. If you want you can test this fuse for continuity and if there is no continuity then replace it as it cannot be reset. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Squeaky on start up
ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication, or maybe your drum belt has slipped off of the idler arm pulley.
Check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the idler arm pulley and also to check the belt condition for wear.
Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go
to reinstall the belt.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots
or wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably
only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade
of machine oil such as 3 in One oil.
Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.

Whirlpool steam duet dryer won't start at times
It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question&&
