The following is an extract from the Brother Service Manual that covers your machine:
"Error Code 50 & 51:
The purge cam switch
does not come ON or OFF
even after the purge cam
has been driven by the
specified number of
pulses."
The manual lists seven different causes, best case being the need to clean part of the mechanism, the worst case being replace the whole main electronics board !
Unless you have very good skills for dismantling such a complicated machine*, your choices are take it to a Brother Service agent who will probably charge you more than a new machine, or bin it - sorry !
* If you want to have a go at dismantling it, the service manual can be bought on eBay for about £5. If you don't want to spend that much, I can supply you a .PDF file copy for £1 - just post back here and I'll sort it out.
paper needs to be fed through the machine and so needs a small border to grab the 1st bit and pull it through. you will always get a bleed unfortunately
On the Brother Solutions Center (English US) your All in One is not listed. Maybe on some other country or region? Here is the link to the main page, choose your country and find driver. And again explicit this timehttp://solutions.brother.com/
o.Welcome to JustAnswer and thanks for asking your question.Open the printer and remove the cartridges and printhead (you can remove the printhead by pulling up the lever on the side of the carriage, use these instructions, steps 1 and 2 only to remove the current printhead):Then turn off the printer and unplug it, if it is connected to the computer, completely disconnect the cableUsing a q-tip dampened with warm water, clean the contacts seen both inside the printer and on the cartridges themselves. Don't clean the nozzles on the bottom of the printhead.Keep cleaning until no ink comes off on the swab > Let them dry shortly, then reinsert the printhead and cartridges (use step 5 from the guide I posted), turn on the printer, and run another cleaning cycle, then print. Let me know the results, I'll standb
If the message is 'Unable to Clean: Error 46' I would recommend checking out this video. If however you are receiving 'Error 4F' this is a mechanical issue and I would advise getting in touch with a printer technician or Brother themselves.
Difficult to say without seeing the quality of the prints but sounds like a calibration issue. By shaken to you mean that colours have fallen out of line and are leaving outlines on your prints? Possibly giving it a 3D-like effect? If so I would recommend running a few calibration/alignment cycles from the printer or printer software to bring all the colours back into line.
dont have cd , go to brothersuppoort.com all the drivers and software will be availablle. it's user friendly.remember brother products do not come with a usb cable.
You can try cleaning the contacts (gold or brass in color) with rubbing alcohol or contact cleaning fluid. Also clean the contacts inside the printer. You will need to use a soft cloth to gently clean the contacts, something that won't lean lint inside the printer.Disconnect power from the printer before starting and allow the printer to completely dry before restoring power. The printer may have simply failed.
1) Enter machine maintenance mode (on MFC210C all four photo/copy/fax/scan lights flash in maintenance mode). Care is needed in maintenance mode, otherwise critical settings may be inadvertently corrupted.

2) Press the 8 then 0 keys in the initial stage of the maintenance mode to call up the machine's log information list (function code 80).
3) Press the Black Start key several times to scroll through the log information list to reach the purge counter. The purge counter is the 25th item in the list.
4) Press the 2, 7, 8, and 3 keys in this order to reset the purge count to zero.
5) Press the Stop/Exit key to return to the initial stage of the maintenance mode.
6) Press the 9 key twice to return to the standby state.
Does your computer recognize the printer as in you can see it connected on your screen? Try clearing the print que or restarting your printer and doing a manual print test page directly from the printer buttons.
