Whirlpool AWZ410 Front Load Washer/Dryer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How do you dry clothes in this machine please
A fairly common problem! The official instructions are
Before using your dryer, wipe the dryer drum with a damp cloth to
remove dust from storing and shipping.
1. Load clothes loosely into the dryer and close the door. Do not
pack the dryer. Allow space for clothes to tumble freely.
2. Turn the Cycle Control knob to the recommended cycle for the type of load being dried. Use the Energy Preferred Automatic Setting (,) to dry most heavyweight and medium weight loads. See "Drying, Cycle, and Temperature Tips."
3. Select a temperature setting on models with a Temp/Fabric selector. The cycle descriptions include temperature setting suggestions.
4. Push the START button.
Stopping and Restarting
You can stop your dryer any time during a cycle.
To stop your dryer
Open the dryer door or turn the Cycle Control knob to OFE
NOTE: The Cycle Control knob should point to an Off area when
the dryer is not in use.
To restart your dryer
1. Close the door.
2. Select a new cycle and temperature (if desired).
3. Press START

I have Model AWZ410 Washing machine, the washing cycle now takes up to 6 Hours!
i have experienced a machine doing this it was caused by the outlet hose pipe not alined it was syphoning water intermittently so check the hose outlet. 2nd
the wash heater may be open circuit causing the wash cycle to stop, the timer is then manually turned to continue washing .3rd check the pressure switch hose for blockage by taking it off the switch and blowing down to clear any blockage.
How do I replace belt
remove the back plate (8 screws) at the rear of the machine being carefull of the sharp edge and replace belt simple operation
I need a user manual for AWZ410-1000
Start out by searching for the manufacturers web site and see if they offer down loadable/printable PDF files on the model you have...
If not; then they should have a list of local authorized dealers...
Some companies supply owners manuals for free, others might charge you for the info. good luck.
How do i get instructions for no longer stocked product
You can try going to this website but you will need to get the full model number to your machines. I tried with the number you posted and that is not enough of a number to make a match.http://www.searspartsdirect.com/
Hope this helps.

Whirlpool AWZ410 Washer/Dryer Washes But Will Not Dry!
I have the same problem. The half load / drying button is pushed in; the drying time set; I've reduced the load to almost nothing, but it won't dry. I've tried numerous cycles. The clothes spin, but are still damp at the end. How would I go about checking my lid switch or fixing my clutch, if that's the problem?
WHIRLPOOL AWZ 410-1000 parts

Detergent dispenser filling with water and i can't remove it to empty it.
Hello Everyone,
I had the same problem with my washing machine, what I didn't find the push button they are talking about, but what I realised, that at the bottom of the drawer, in the middle of it, there is a hing that keeps the drawer in its place, I used a screw driver to push that hing, and got the drawer out.
I have cleaned the fabric softner section, but when i put it on again, I got the same problem again, I am not sure about the reason of that.
If someone can help on that one, that would be great ;)
Wires setting on thermostat and heater for whirlpool AWZ410
Am taking out my element so can tell you.First 2 thick greys: easiest: a short lead with white conector at each end: one end joins element, on right hand spade, and other end to left (at about 9.30/10) spade on thermostat.the other grey goes to lowest spade on thermostat (about 6.30/7, if it were a clock)Thinner White leads: impossible to say, as same length, indistinquisable: you will just have to experiment with the 2 spades left; as its both on a thermostat I don't feel there's any risk of breaking it/any part
The main motor dosnt turn is there a fuse for this or is the motor gone
not necessarily, could be a couple of different things first things first when the motor is meant to be turning can you hear humming or whirring? or is it completly dead nothing happens at all? theres a couple easy things to check first make sure your belt is tight and that the belt is actually on there, if thats all good remove the belt and run the machine through a cycle to see if the motor will turn without a load on it, also if your any good with a multimeter ensure you have power to the motor BUT BE CAREFUL ONLY ATTEMPT IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING, get back to me as more info will help narrow it down
