You don't say whether the drum turns freely by hand. It could be a broken spider or a seized or broken bearing or something come adrift in the tub causing it to jam. The top will need to be removed for a closer inspection and it might be a simple and quick repair but from your description it will probably be absent from your home for a day or three and cost quite a lot.

The plastic piece that you push may be broken or the switch that it pushes may be broke. Sometimes you have to hold the start button for a few seconds before the actual start will take place.

washer adjusters are underneath. feet unscrew in two directions, one takes the machine higher and the other direction lower. try it with a crescent wrench or flat open-faced 1/2" wrench. Try lifting the front of the device, but there are generally 4 feet/supports underneath, so find a way to get to the rear supports from the rear. You will best do the job if you can move the machine away from the wall~! Get a simple wrench the size of the bolt/washer on each foot is the key.

check the drainage pump or electronic board is faulty

For LG washers, the OE error indicates a problem draining the wash tub. This could be caused by a problem with the drain hose, a clogged filter on the drain pump, or a problem with the pump itself. First make sure that the drain hose isn't kinked or too high for the pump to force the water up. (Most washers can pump the water 4-6'.) Next grab a bucket and open the washer to reach the pump. (Usually you either need to remove a plate below the door or an access hatch on the back.) Find the pump and open the filter that is on the front. Remove any foreign objects from the filter. (Use the bucket to catch any water that spills.) Look into the pump itself and check for any obvious objects. Try a new rinse cycle and see if the error persists. If it does, then the pump or the pump motor has an problem. If you add a comment with the model number of your washer, I may be able to find the correct part numbers for the replacements. The water usually drains from the drawers just by gravity. Have you checked that your machine is level?

Sonia, you either have a failed drain pump, or something has bypassed the filter ( bobby pins are notorious for this ) and is jamming up the pump impeller. If you can set the washer to drain/spin and can hear the pump running, you most likely have a impeller that has broken off of the pump motor shaft and will need to be replaced. If you cannot hear the pump running, and can hear a slight humming noise, then there is something jammed in the pump. The pump can be removed and cleared of the possible foriegn object. I can provide instructions on pump removal if needed.

The "Guides" around the drum are worn out or the bearing is bad, which usually causes it. Replace the bearing and guides. You Tube has many videos on these fix's. and there is a good chance your machine will have one to view.

Your machine may have a bad sensor. go to your computer and type in the make of the machine add troubleshooting. you should have a selection of sites to visit. Usually the fix is simple and You Tube has many video's available that you can view that give you step by step instructions on fixing the problem.

Check to see if the spring to the belt tensioner is still in place.If so it may be a weak motor.
