How do I eliminate Large quantities of lint in the dryer tube?

It's the length 30 ft. + 4 90 degree elbows. the dryer just does not have the velocity/volume to discharge that far with (most importantly 4 90s). 4 90s at 10% reduction of flow = 40% reduction at 30 feet add another 15% and your down to only effective flow 45%. replace 90 with two 45s drop of flow= 20% plus the run length 15% now you'll have a 65 % flow rate. I do not know what appliance make and model you have, all differ so this is a basic guide but those 90s with the length are what is doing it. hope this helps you.

Stopped turning pulled front off belt is off and

Pulley and wheel are tensioned so smooth wheel side goes against smooth side of belt. Try each slot and use the one that gives tension to the belt. Should have grooves in other side of belt that fit in grooves on motor shaft. May be able to get at it better from back of cabinet.

I have a whirlpool LGR8648pwo. Runs not heat and timer doesnt move. I found a 4 prong sensor in the back of the unit. 2 prongs have continuity and the other 2 dont. Is that bad.

If no heat at all i suspect this part HERE. This is the fuse. It kills power to the gas assembly if junk gets into the filter housing and cause an overheat condition. On electric models this same fuse kills the whole dryer. On gas models it just kills the gas. If that is good the next thing to check is the flame detection sensor mounted out side of the burner chamber. It's job is to power up the ignitor. If it is open no power can get to the ignitor. If it is good then the next thing to check is the ignitor. If the ignitor is good AND you are getting power from that control klixon you mentioned with the 4 wires on it AND you can get a little heat at first but then none at all them coils need to be replaced. I have a Whirlpool Gas Dryer Model LGR8648PWO that will not heat

You will have to remove the back panel to access this part. Be sure that you unplug the machine before starting. Once the back panel has been taken off and placed aside the thermal switch will be located on the left lower side near the blower housing . It will be thin and long and located near the cycling thermostat that has for prongs on it. On certain machines, the thermal fuse is located in the front. To access this you must remove the kickplate, which can be done by pushing the clips, one on each side jsut above the top of the kickplate, in between the top and abottom portion. The part numbers are the same for either style dryer. To test this part you can either take the wires off it and tie them together then plug the machine back in and see if it heats, or you can use amultimeter and check to see if there is continuity, if there is its good, if not, bad. The thermal fuse will usually be white, and if located in the back, be thin and long with two wires on it, left and right. If in the bottom front, it will be front center on the exhaust duct. In some cases the ignitor or the gas coils will go bad. Here is a good process of elimination. 1)Verify that the thermal fuse is good. If you don't have a meter bypass it and turn the machine on. If heats, thermal fuse is bad, if not leave connected and continue2)When the dryer starts and thermal fuse bypassed, the ignitor should start to get hot and glow, if your thermal fuse is in the back you are going to have to have to the top of the dryer up to see down inside near the front for the glow. You can do this by taking the lint trap out and removing the two screws and popping the top up. If the ignitor comes on more than likely the gas coils are bad and if it doesn't the ignitior is bad. (this is while the thermal fuse is bypassed so the ignitor has power to it regardless) If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jason_4570d45317834dd3

We have an LGR8648 gas

The most common cause for your problem is the gas valve coils. There are 2 and should be replaced in pairs. Over time, they will fire when you first start the dryer but fail to fire again once in mid cycle. A link for a typical set of coils is listed below:

Gas dryer lgr 8648

Back in June I replaced the gas valve coils and that fixed the problem. It appears that when the coils are begining to fail, they'll work only when they are cold. After the dryer is up to full temperature the coils will not open the valve when more heat is needed...at least not until the dryer cools down.
I had this same problem with my furnace flame sensor. It failed in a way that it would only work when it was completely cooled down. Troubleshooting revealed that the furnace was failing at the 5 second "wait for flame sense". At that point the flame would go out and I could not restart it until everything cooled down. Thanks for all the help on this.

Dryer not getting hot

If you are having dryer problems and you cannot even get the thing to start, then you might want to start going through this check list of possibilities. There are a number of things that can cause your dryer to not run.

A couple of the most common problems are the thermal fuse has blown or the door switch is not operating properly. On many dryers if the thermal fuse blows, the dryer will not run at all. This fuse can be checked with an ohm meter. It should show continuity if it is okay. If there is no continuity then you need to replace it and also find out what else failed. This is a safety device that usually blows because something else allowed the dryer to get too hot. It is usually located in the back of the dryer, on the blower housing. Some are oval in shape and others are rectangular, usually with two wires attached.

A defective door switch or a bent door switch lever can also cause you to have problems. If the lever is broken or bent it will not activate the switch. If the switch is broken, this also will not allow the dryer to be started.

The push (or turn) to start switch can go bad, but is unlikely. To check this, hold it in or turn it and then check to make sure you have continuity with an ohm meter.

If the dryer starts and then stops when the switch is released check the control board or the ?even heat? control on some model dryers. Some dryers have a belt break switch that can fail or your belt may be way loose or broken.

Check for burn marks or burnt wires at the terminal block on your dryer, poor connections can cause all kinds of problems. Also poor connections can cause fires.

A bad power cord also falls into this same category.

Of course, always check that you have the proper voltage to the outlet that you are plugging into.

Gas dryer heats and runs

A lint screen plugged with fabric softener deposits can block considerable air flow. Try running without the filter for a short time to see if the dryer action improves--if it does, wash the filter in hot water and detergent--allow to dry before installing. Hope this helps!
