Craftsman 3/4 Hp Garage Door Opener System Belt Drive Motorhead Only - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How to fix my garage door opener?
I'm assuming you mean that it won't close, only open? If that's the case then your eye beams may need to be adjusted. The wall button can override the sensors whereas the remotes can not.
Garage door opener won't work

Try to operate motor unit, check diagnostic code.• If it is still flashing 5 times and motor unit moves 6-8" (15-20 cm), replace RPMsensor.• If motor unit doesn't operate, motor unit is overheated. Garage door problem
If it went all the way down, then "bounced" and went all the way back up, it's not the sensors. You need to check your limits. For some reason the door is going past the limits then the force is telling it that it is pushing too hard so it runs back up when it hits the ground. Clean your eye beams and the bottom of the door (some times leaves will stick and cross the eyebeam as it gets almost closed) just to make sure, but I would try resetting the limits or verify the limit switches are not broke, which can sometimes happen.
