My monitor lg m1710ab keyboard has no action
If monitor does work correctly in common and the only problem you can't access setting by pressing buttons:
1. Find and read the manual
There could be some kind of the 'child' of 'public place' protection which prevents user to access monitor OSD menu and settings.
Menu blocking usually activated/deactivated by pressing and holding a few keys at the moment for a period of time.
Also some custom TV sets, used in hotels and other special places could have special firmware which limits user control over the device while taking extended control to the remote cable network admin.
2. Button board is some kind damaged. The only way to find a problem - disassembly the monitor and check button board, connections, then mainboard and firmware. There may be situation when some button is damaged and seems to be 'always pressed' (short circuit inside) preventing firmware to process other buttons. It is not difficult to check similar connection problems for an experienced user. However if there is a serious hardware or firmware failure professional repairs should be performed.
If you have electronics repair experience you can look for a service manual over the net to explore schematic diagrams and troubleshooting guide.
This 17" monitor is rare and obsolete nowadays. It has too small LCD for a modern applications, while new 22"-26" models have a reasonable price. You can find one or similar on the ebay for a very small price. However you can use some damaged one to explore construction/technology and get personal repair experience avoiding any big expenses (except time). This is a good and valuable motivation to spend time and may be a few money and repair.

If you want to auto play a DVD, then go to Control Panel. (type in Control Panel in search) Then go to Hardware & Sound-AutoPlay. You can configure the DVD options under 'DVD's'
If you want to boot from the CD/DVD you need to go into your BIOS settings to change the boot order from 1st device (which is usually your hard drive) to CD/DVD drive.
PC's differ in accessing the BIOS and you may need to press F2 or escape as the PC is starting.

Nothing wrong with burner if you can get it to work. There has to be some sort of software (ugh) issue responsible. I would either consult with the manufacturer of the software or google the situation - chances are others may have also had the same issue. The latter procedure has bailed me out beaucoup times!

Ensure the device is powered off.
Press and hold the Volume Down button then press and hold the Power button.
When the System recovery screen is displayed, release both buttons.
From the System recovery screen, select Factory data reset.
Note Utilize the Volume buttons to highlight and the Power button to select.
Select Yes to confirm.
Note Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
Note To set up the device after completing the factory data reset, refer to Initial Activation and Setup.
