Whirlpool LGR6611L Gas Dryer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Heat starts and then dies and never goes back on
follow this steps and fix it. God bless you1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for tripped
circuit breakers or blown fuses. An electric dryer uses two circuit
breakers or fuses, and if only one of two is tripped or blown, the dryer
might still run but not heat. Sometimes the power cord disconnects or
burns at the dryer, if this is the case, the wiring and the terminal
block must be repaired or replaced.
2. Heating element
A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.
3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer
overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop
heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer.
A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before
replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or
clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Gas dryer not heating, why?
Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Dryer wont come on. what should i do?
1. Does the dryer light come on when you open the door? If so, it's likely the belt is broken. You will need to replace the belt.
2. No dryer light? it's likely then that the thermal fuse is blown. They are located in different places on different dryers. On Maytag and many Whirlpool dryers, it is located under the top, right next to the heating element with two white wires leading to it. You can test the fuse by bypassing it TEMPORARILY. If you connect the two wires together or make a jumper for them, (always shut the dryer circuit breaker off FIRST before attempting this) and the dryer magically comes alive (after you turn the circuit breaker back on) then you know what's wrong. Just changing the fuse is often not enough - you should find out why your dryer overheated. (poor airflow - blocked duct, etc)

Not sure how to replace the idler slide assembly.
I know it isn't much help but look for wear on the idler arm bracket, it will tell you which way it faces either up or down....then look for wear where the idler arm bracket hooks to the frame of the dryer....also you will look to where the spring attaches to the frame of the dryer when you attach it to the idler arm there will be a slight amount of wear where the spring attaches to the frame....
I will include these two websites for parts and further help:
http://www.partselect.com/http://www.appliancepartspros.com/index.aspxBoth also have chat assistance 24/7.
Good luck,
I hope this helps

try to use the belt when turning it counter-clockwise see if it will turn the drum, if not then the fproblem is the bearing

Dryer Drum does not spin
SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE RIGHT. EASIEST WAY TO TELL IS PRY UP THE TOP PANEL. 1ST REMOVE LINT FILTER AND 2 SCREWS BEHIND FILTER ON TOP PANEL.. GET A FLAT BLADE SREWDRIVER AND TOWARD THE FRONT OF THE TOP PANEL THEIR R 2 BLK CLIPS ONE ON EACH SIDE PUSH IN AND THAT SHOULD RELEASE THE CLIPS ONCE YOU GET THE TOP UP. LOOK AT DRIUM IF YOU DONT SEE A BLACK BELT GOING AROUND TUB THEN BELT IS BROKE. PART # 341241 SELLS FR ABOUT 15-28.99. WE STK IT. ITS A VERY COMMON BELT. SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET LOCALLY. IF YOU NEED IT WE HAVE THEM.

On a cabrio whirlpool dryer what does E4 and F4 codes mean
A "F4E4" (Low or No Line Voltage) code indicates there may be a problem with your home power supply, keeping the dryer's heater from turning on. The dryer will continue to run when this diagnostic code is present. Touch any pad to clear the code from the display and return to the estimated time remaining.
Whirlpool duet model YWED9300VU0
Try kit 4392067. It's the 4 roller wheel kit with belt and pulley. I use them all the time on that model, but without the Y in the beginning. Not sure what the variation is there.
