I'm getting lots of runtime errors!

Here's a link to typical runtime errors in IE.
If you are getting errors from other applications, you can look them up in the event viewer, (link here).
It might be a good idea to do some system maintenance, clearing out temp files, etc by running disk cleaner. And it probably wouldn''t hurt to run chkdsk c: /f on your hard drive to look for corruption. (The results can be seen under winlogon properties in event viewer after you run it.) Instructions to do that here and here.
If you suspect malware could be a possibility, (and it seems possible, from the sound of it,) these are the malware removal protocols I recommend you follow.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

My PC has been automatically restart after hung sometime.

There might be various amount of reasons.

First of all this sounds very likely to be a overheating problem.

If you have changed your settings for the Clock Speed of your computer, try changing them back to a lower value.

Summer is here and the sun and the heat might be too much for your computer, try using it in the shade.

If your using it inside your house, try to move it next to a window or a cooler place.

If you can, try buying a cheap fan and installing it to your computer. If you can not do it try and take it to a repair shop and ask them to install a new fan.

If the problem persist you might try and check if your hard disk is failing and causing a reboot, maybe the operating system your using is not licensed any more (Windows Vista's license ran out).

As I said, many reasons exist to an automatic restart. Try these out and report back once you know better about the problem.

Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop screen will not work.

If you hear the hard drive spinning and you think Windows is working but you can't see an image then :-
You could have a defective screen - a defective inverter or a CCFL lamp or simply the video cable needs reseating. After reseating the video cable and the problem is still there then :-
To determine if you have a LCD screen or video card problem, read this and follow the instructions.

Defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom:

  • Screen flashs on red/pink and off.
  • Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal.
  • Picture flickering with dim display or appear black.
  • Picture flickering on and off.
All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp

Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power it up, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight.

Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.
Check out www.lcdparts.net for parts, repair service and DIY info.

Every new Dell computer comes up with a built in utility to load Windows once again (Dell Recovery). But the bad part is that it takes your computer to the factory settings. So all your data is lost.

Screen not woking after keyboard replacement

When you replaced the keyboard you could have dislodged the video connector/cable. This connector would be located near the top edge of the keyboard. Remove the keyboard and check the video connector/cable, remove and insert the connector again then install the keyboard.

Dell doesn't use a serial per sa. they use an express code number and a service tag number. The service tag number tell you everything about your computer, what was put in it, warranty, ect.
If you need drivers you'll locate them.
So if you need drivers, manuals or the like use you service tag number...SUPPORT->DOWNLOADS-DRIVERS
hope this answered what you wanted to know...if you need part numbers it's in Support Downloads Manuals...

Phantom Key Issue

This bug happens because on some machines (laptops) the keyboard key with the code “e02a” is for the hibernate key or perhaps another one is actuating with in the psftware pr may even be stuck all togerther. try using an external keybaord to see if you can overide the internal keyboard this maybe helpful at least to diagnose what it is you are doing since an older keyboard is hardware and doesn't have "unknown" keys so to speak

1. Try to boot your computer in Safe mode and run a full system virus scan with your anti-virus software, this may fix the problem. The system will boot in safe mode only if its not a major damage to the file. If the system is not booting in safe mode, then perform system restore. Click start>all programs>Accessories>System tools>System Restore. Restore computer to a date where it was working fine.
2. In case the system refuses to boot up at all, then it is recommended to run a repair setup of windows Xp. To run repair setup, boot the computer with Windows Xp bootable CD and on installation screen, press R for repair setup.
