Weber Baby Q Grill - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I have a Weber gas grill, and I just replaced the
Don't worry, you'll be grilling in no time, if you follow these instructions:
1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF.
2. Disconnect the grill's hose from the propane tank and wait 5 minutes.
3. Reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank's gas valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow Motion, slow).
Once the valve is fully open light one burner and turn it to HIGH. Has the flame height returned to normal? If so, light the remaining burner and turn it to HIGH. Do both flame heights look normal?
If so, you solve the problem! Remember to always turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.
Hope this helped you. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

Ignition button not working
Sounds like you need to replace the igniter. If the gas lights with a match, there's nothing wrong with the gas bottle. line or burner.

What is a venturi valve?
Hi maggiezmartA venturi valve is a valve that has a reduced size in the middle thus causing a low pressure in the middle of the valve to create a vacuum to pull liquids/gases into the flow stream.More information can be had at the following webpagePlease take time to rate meBud

Low and intermittent flame of weber Q 220
You can try replacing the regulator to cure the gas flow problem, I believe the ignition is a piezo, if it does not click when you push it or turn it, it most likely needs to be replaced. If it still clicks, then there could be a bad wire or electrode.

I don't seem to be able to get the Brickettes
Whether
using a gas canister or a tank, To solve this problem, first be sure
you have adequate gas in the tank. If that checks out OK, do the
following:
1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Or remove the canister from
it's holder.
2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Or reinstall the canister into the holder.
3. Open the tank valve or canister valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).
4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
any remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.
Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa. Happy Grilling!!

How do you install the battery in the ignition
Unscrew the push button battery cap and you will find the old battery sitting in the battery holder.
Take note of which way the old battery is facing and install the new one in the same direction. It's also a good idea to check for any corrosion on the terminals of the battery holder. before installing the new battery. If you see any, a Q-Tip and WD40 will do a good job in removing it.
Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!
