Weber Genesis Silver B Grill - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Low/weak flame on Weber Genesis Silver B Grill.
hi my name is mark, could be one of two things the regulator on the propane tank try gently tapping on regulator it could be sticking, and make sure the vent on regulator does not have a spiders web . or the orifices to the burners are restricted. check regulator some are ajustable, some are not. hope that helps. thanks for your question.
What color should the burner flame be
The burner flame should be blue.
If you have the spider air flow open to wide the flames will be yellow.
This means the gas flow has to much oxygen.
Typically the air vent should nearly closed.
You may not be able to remove all the yellow and have a few Yellow tips.
This is ok, just try to adjust were you have the last amount of yellow in the flames.
Good luck!
Hope this helps.

I bet your grill gets no hotter than about 300 with the lid closed?
The tank has a built in safety feature. If a burner is left on when you open the valve on the tank, or turned on too soon immediately after opening the valve on the tank, the flow will be restricted. You need to turn all burners off, close the tank valve, disconnect the tank, reconnect the tank, open the tank valve, waqit a few seconds, open the burner valve and light. You'll get unrestricted flow and much better heat.

Grill won't get hot
If you recently ran the grill completely out of gas, sometimes it creates a vacuum of sorts in the regulator. Shut the grill off, refill the tank. Open the valve from the tank first, then go through your normal starting sequence. Should clear it up. Good luck
Adjust blue flame
should be a band you can turn where the tubes connect to the back of the knobs...if not, check for spiderwebs or gunk in the tubes themselves. There's not enough oxygen in the mix.
