Cannot connect Laptop to LE32r7 through VGA cable
Silly question, but have you swiched the laptop external screen function 'on' on the laptop ? This is normally done using the function (Fn) button in conjunction with one of the F keys.

Samsung tv LE32r74bdx only gives only one channel.
Looks like the TV is in 'Shop' mode. To exit, with the TV switched on, hold the Vol down and Menu buttons on the side of the TV for 4 seconds - the screen will show 'Dynamic'. You should then have all of your functions back.

42 inch samsung plasma tv black vertical lines
Hi, Depeending on the thickness of the lines matters. If the lines are Black and about 1-2 inches thick it may be a bad bottom buffer board or a bad panel (screen).
If the lines are thin 1/16 to 1/8 inch it is most likely a bad panel.
You can open up the set and depending on the model, see the thin board/boards running across the bottom with ribbon cables going to the panel. You may be able to attempt reseating the ribbon cables, but be careful as some retainer plugs break very easy.
If the lines are thick black and the reseating doesn't correct it you may be able to buy the coresponding buffer. Unfortunately some bottom buffers are actually part of the panel. If you are not comfortable taking it apart then call a professional but be aware labor charges start around $200 not counting parts, panels start at $600 up to over $1000
hope this helps
Thanks

When I connect my Toshiba Satellite Laptop to my
I had the same issue with my laptop after I upgraded my video driver. Check on the Toshiba website for the correct display driver for your laptop and download it. Follow their directions and install it on to your hard drive. If it is the same driver that came with your laptop originally, the default settings should allow you to connect back to your LCD TV and get the proper display. If that doesn't work you will probably have to call Toshiba support and ask them for the default settings.

Small squares of screen are blank.
Not all flat panel displays are perfect. You probably have dead pixels in your display. You need to check with your retailer to see what the warranty on your display is. Some units come with a zero dead pixel warranty, while others will not allow you to replace the display unless you have more than a fixed number of dead pixels. Your retailer should be able to furnish this information to you.
