To reset it, you have to enter its service mode option. To get it, you have to download its repair manual. User manual will not have this detail. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

You can not program a remote that comes with a device to operate that device. It will always just work. Check the batteries, make sure they are in properly and try to replace them.

TRY CONNECTING THE RCA JACK (RED,WHITE) AUDIOINPUTS. MY GUESS IS THAT IT WILL WORK THAT WAY,AND IF IT DOES CHECK ALL AUDIO SETTINGS ON BOTH AMP & TV PCM digital audio / LPCM digital audio (LIMITED)MAYBE BAD HDMI CABLE. SEEN IT SEVERAL TIMES B4

Any luck? We bought our tv (same one) in March of last year. It is doing the exact same thing. Time Warner has already came out and switched out the cable box and cables. We have a tv tech coming soon (contracted out from Samsung, of course...) Problem persists...

I think this is what you are looking for. Also PS3's come with the same type cable I believe.

its not hard as you think you should return it just the way you pulled it out because it has a polarity negative is commonly marked in the capacitor but you must have the proper tools soldering iron and solder ******.

You may have bad DC filter caps in the power supply, that will be the first place to look.

A common fault with this model is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your tv and look at the power supply for bulged / swollon capacitors on top, they may even leak a brown like substance and should have a value of around 1000uf 10v
Change these where possible with the same uf but higher voltage lets say 1000uf 25/35v

It could be a faulty power supply (capacitors). To all who are having power supply issues: Samsung is now acknowledging a problem with faulty capacitors. I called 1 800 726-7864 and they said they would repair certain out-of-warranty TVs if the problem is related to the capacitors. I just called and they are sending a service rep out to diagnose the problem

Take the back of the tv and check the caps on the power supply sounds like they have blowen. If so take them to a reapir shop and get them replaced,

you either have a bad bulb or a losse bulb in the lcd panel a good reapir shop[ can fix that by reseating the bulb or replaceing them

most likely the main board is defective but it could also be the lcd panel itself or the lvds cable.probably will need a service call to determine problem.
