you need to check does the sensor on the drawer which is on the right side front of the drawer, does correspond with the paper inside the drawers.

if you can clean the black line with a cloth, than you need just to replace the cleaning blade, but if the black line is not removing without a cloth, then you need to replace the opc drum and the cleaning blade or both blades, some machines of this type have only one cleaning blade but some have two cleaning blade.

If you go into "user tools" is there a printer and scanner option there? If not the MFD does not have the print option.... If it does you need to program the IP address sub net and gateway. -Carl

If you have used various computers with different OS's and you still cannot get any to recognize the printer, then it would appear that the printer electronics are fubar. U might check with Ricoh but ......................

I guess you talk about Ricoh MP 1800. The Black lines on the bottom appear because the copier has made more than 60,000 prints or more if new. If it's bought used, than it has made 60,000 or more prints from the last change of the drum and the drum cleaning blade. For the print to be clean again, it will need to be changed the drum and drum cleaning blade. This copier as all other copiers have parts that have a yield.

The error code you gave shows several possibilities for your issue:

• CGB power pack connection loose, broken defective • Check CGB power pack connection to BCU • CGB power pack defective • BCU defective • Replace OPC drum

Of the five possibilities above, replacing the drum is the most likely cause. Since you only had your drum for a couple of weeks I would take it back to where you purchased it and ask for replacement. Sometimes you get a bad drum out of the box from the manufacturer. It happens. If the same error code pops up again, I recommend you call your local Ricoh dealer for further troubleshooting.
