Also, all vent-free heaters, fireplaces, gas log sets, etc come with the regulator built-in. Are you trying to replace one you think doesn't work? Or are you trying to convert it from one gas type to another?

If it's the latter, there is no conversion approved for vent-free gas appliances. Plus, if you could, it would take more than just the regulator to do it. Totally unsafe to do.. Please don't attempt it.

Make sure you hold down the control knob longer befor taking it to
low fire. If you are using LP gas, is it possible you have run out?

Question edited to toss in a load of CAPS! Nope, if you can hear the motor then the motor is working. If it isn't blowing the fan just needs tightening up on the shaft. We have the same issue. Gas is getting to the regulator. But it's not coming out to the pilot light. I tried for months to use my warranty and all I got were a few emails from procomusa but they havent done a thing. I bought an expensive wall decoration.

No. The thermostat gets its power from the heater. The batteries only operate the relays in the thermostat. If there is no power to the relays the heater won't operate in any mode.
