WHAT WOULD CAUSE MY COMPUTOR TO SHUT DOWN AFTER I START IT ABOUT 5MIN
You've provided too few info.
It's impossible to guess the reason w/o additional facts.
Is it switch off immediately or it peforms correct Windows shut down procedure? Or may be it just reboots?
First leads to a hardware failure, most probably power supply unit or motherboard (less probably). Try to just replace PSU at first (get one for test from your neighbor or friend, you just need to make connections, no need to install PSU to the case).
Second leads to a software problem, such as virus activity or driver failure. Try to explore events in Windows Event viewer. You may need to call pro to find the failure.
Third may lead to both hardware or software problem. Very wide variety of problems. You'd provided no more symptoms. Most probably profy required at the place.
Chassis intruder, fatal error system halt on asus
Good day, I personally encountered that problem and i try to remove the cmos battery on the board to clear the saved bios settings. But it was still the same and followed the manual of said motherboard change the settings and change the jumper settings but still the same. What i did, i changed the motherboard with brand new same model but the other parts remained. With that the problem solved!
Audio driver not axpet for
Then download audio driver that is compatible with window 7 along with your board. example : ( realtek sound driver for windows 7 download ). Or go to your motherboards website and download your sound driver there . Like ( realtek high definition audio driver for win 7 downloads ). Have a nice day..
My problem is my VGA card is not working on window
Ron, I found this posted somewhere:
Users running ASUS P5PE-VM on Windows 7 having difficulty looking for
compatible drivers, especially on graphic card and onboard sound card.
The graphic card is old NVIDIA GForce 3 TI (AGP) and the sound on-board
is SoundMax which is listed as SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio
(TCSUS_CH5) F5410AMR. The driver which comes with the motherboard will
not install the sound drivers because it doesn't recognize the OS
even though it listed the sound card but only Realtek and analog devices.Trying to resolve this problem using Compatibility mode doesn't do
the trick as there is no Vista compatible for GF3 driver. Windows 7
apparently won't recognize GF2 series and older ones. You will have to
upgrade the video card. Try using Windows Update. If it doesn't find the
driver online, then it means the driver is not supported by Win7. No
luck for NForce 3 motherboards either, or NF 1/2 motherboards.
Another workaround you can try is by installing NVIDIA's legacy
driver 66.93 which was reported doing good on GeForce 3 TI 200. You will
have to disable all directX hardware acceleration, but OpenGL works. It looks like upgrading is the last resort you can try after you try all
above solution.
I hope this helps & good luck!
