I do have a question - was this memory functional in your board before or is this a new install/upgrade?
Many times the issue you've described can be memory related.
This is a link to the types of memory your board will support - pay close attention to the voltage, if the memory you are trying to use right now has the wrong voltage you will get no post and/or video (and on occasion error beeps).
The other thing you can try is resetting the CMOS (via the onboard jumper which should be near the battery). Instructions on how to do this should be in your mobo manual.
....and of course, ensure that both power plugs are connected to the mobo.
