Netgear is not a browser. It is a Router. For the sake of this question I would assume you were talking about the Router, what do you mean by "Lock"? You can change the default password, and no one will be able to access it. First off you need to have a wireless connection,that being said if you have one then you will need to go to your device and let it search for your wireless router.Once that is done and you enter any password you may have on your router it should connect.I seen had issues with this because the wireless signal can be weak if so to resolve this use a POE (Power Over Ethernet) or a direct wire from your router and select a wired connection.

It can be connection problem or you are doing wrong setup..check all cable which is connected with router..
