Want receive a fax

To receive a fax, first check to see if your telephone line has the capacity to send and receive faxes, a "conventional modem" sometimes is necessary, that may have changed with VOIP . Make sure to configure printer for faxing and that the Fax icon appears in the Printer/Fax window.. Follow all the basic set up steps to configure Fax, making sure all options are set correctly to enable where required. You might call your local phone company and ask them what you need to hook up a fax capable printer...or ask the manufacturer for the specifics of configuration for faxing.

Where do you put envelope

You are brave trying to print to an envelope...remove paper from tray, put in "plain" envelope, print side down, flap should point to left ( I put a dab of glue stic on flap to hold it securely) will print from top or bottom tray. If envelope keeps coming out askew...make sure to check for a wayward piece of paper stuck in roller from last paper jam.

Error code 3806

Kodak error codes are usually generic, I have found for most of them, if you disconnect the power and wait a few minutes then plug it back in to a power source, the printer resets itself.

Need ink printer

Ink is available online from Kodak. These machines are not very popular and there is a very lacking distribution network, as I'm sure you've noticed. This is also one machine I would not recommend refilled cartridges for as the print heads are very sensitive. I have head of many print heads failing even with Kodak's own ink.

Kodak ESP3 will not print over half of the time.

all you guys i know you are all frustrated but m just trying to be helpful to you all............First thing there are lot of compatible and look alike and refilled ink cartridges available for the kodak printers which actually screws the printer........i have the whole list of numbers on the ink cartridges which are genuine and i can give it to you all if you want........to fix your issue just try and do the print head cleaning from the home center software on computer to which this printer is connected......if still the same issue then just call kodak tech support as its a print head issue.........

I have a paper jam and can't get the paper out

As you see that the paper is jammed you should immediately stop the printer by the cancel button and open it from the upper side and then hold the paper by its both corners and pull it with full power the paper will come out very slowly but you should do it uniformly and providing the same force on both ends. But make sure that you don't tear the paper because it might cause problems in your printer! So apply this technique to easily take out the jammed paper. And also try to insert clean, dry and crisp paper to avoid paper jams. Hope Fully the problem will be solved!

My 5500 print quality is poor for photo's,

Kodak machines, which I'm told are built by Lexmark, have very poorly made print heads. If you are experiencing print quality issues you need to contact Kodak and make them replace your print heads. We have one customer who has had to replace them twice since he has owned the machine, which hasn't been very long.

I receive an advanced dot placement mode error

I started receiving this error after a Windows update. After 2 days of the same issue, I realized that I rebooted my computer several times but I hadn't yet turned the printer off and on. I unplugged and plugged it back in again. It ran through a quick reboot and then I was printing fine - no need to change any software settings, roll back drivers. etc.

More than a year ago I bought Jodak 5300 AIO and

Yes the heads can get dried out from sitting for to long, if there is dried ink on them you can try rubbing alcohol, a small amount. Not long ago I replaced a printer for the same reason.
