This sounds like a paper size issue. Check your papersize and oriontation in the tray(green selector font right or back left of tray) and check paper settings under the user tools menu for tray 1. let me know if that works, so we can trouble shoot.

these are not devices that just anyone can install you have to know what you are doing and have the correct software because their different ways to configure these devices depending on environment and requirement please contact your service provider as they are suppose to set up the device for you or other wise contact your nearest RICOH dealership for support

it sounds like you may have a part of the unit that is out of alignment. If everything isn't securely fit back into the machine, it won't image properly.
If it will neither print (if it has the option installed) NOR copy images, NOR will it print a test page from its memory, then the places I would look first would be:
1: The connector on the transfer belt which is the brown, flat thing found on the door of the machine...sometimes the connector is bent and doesn't make good contact, which prevents toner from transfering to the belt from the drum.
2:The drum unit may not be secured well to the back of the machine and the Charge Strip above it may not be in place. I can't recall immediately if it has a grid or just a wire, but the hair thick wire can break, which can cause exactly your problem, though you should be able see the wire easily with a flashlight.
Unfortunately, when the office "Mr. Fixit" tries to remove a jam and save the company an easy 100 bucks it often can cause other problems...I've worked with copiers since 2001 and I'd safely say that at least 1 in 10 routine calls revealed complications from someone unqualified who tried a little too hard to fix the unit.
But check on those two things and if it still doesn't work then let me know and I'll try to help you more. :-)

Register Fax dstinations:

• Press User tools/counter button
• Select System settings using the up and down arrows then press Ok
• Select Key Operator Tools using arrows then press Ok
• Select Address book Management using arrows then press Ok
• Select Program/change using arrows then press Ok
• Enter the registration number or Quick dial key, then OK
• Enter user (destination) name using Quick dial keys - OK
• Press Dest.
• Press Fax settings using arrows then OK
• Enter the fax number then press OK

The "Programmed" message appears, and then the "Address book" display returns.
Press the User Tools/Counter button.

You can install the Twain scanning driver which is provided on the Printer driver CD. Insert this CD and select to install the Twain driver only.
After installation od this driver, please open Word document and click on Insert, Picture and select from Scanner or Camera. Check and choose your twain scanner driver and click on insert.
Beforehand you must put the original on the exposure glass.
Try this or you can use scan to email but you need more setup details.

No, it will not show up there. It can scan two different ways. One is the scan router program installed on your computer. The other is scan to folder via SMB. It merely is a path back to a folder.

If you go into:
user tools, system settings, administrator tools, and address book management. The settings will be in there.

You could also "web" into your machine using IE and the IP address. Login as "admin" leave password blank. Go to the address book. Email me if you need further info.

You must register as sender in the address book.

Ax060267,This is the part number of the polygon mirror motor , it is worn out , your machine propably makes a high reving noise aswell when it starts to print , you can go to your nearest rico or gestetner outlet and get a new motor , it sits right in the middle of the machine , sometomes it helps to remove the motor and oil it with a very thin oil , but in mostcases it is beond repair .

You can't. As I said you need the service engineer with the laptop. These Office Machines are NOT consumer serviceable. They hook up the laptop with the Ricoh software and it interrogates the computer, the mainboard and everything on it. Hello Christopher Are you in the Philippines? I notice that your copier has changed from Ricoh to Gestetner? We are a North American website. This is a commercial office machine, and from my experience of them is that on the right side you will see on the inside, a list of instructions for where to check for obstructions. It seems you have already done this 8 times! Frustrating! Try this; Open the right side cover, unlatch all the bits at that side. Open the straight pass door on the left side. remove ALL the paper drawers. Get a powerful flashlight, look in all the spaces you have just created, especially at the edges of drawers and paper pathways. You are looking for a tiny piece of paper that one of your employees carelessly left behind after a paper jam.The one I found was right at the back of the straight pass door. When a sensor is covered, it creates that message. If that fails, Ricoh will have to come and attach their Laptop scan software to it which will tell which sensor is obstructed or has failed.
