I lost my disk that
no problem
download it from "http://nodevice.in/driver/Deskjet_F340_All-in-One/get39294.html"
It says offline
I would try at this point: powering it off, deleting it from your printer list, then uninstall it, and then restart your computer. When your computer is back up and running again, just turn on the printer and see if it installs from windows automatically. If it does not install, then do you have a disk to install it from?
Regardless of if you DO or DO NOT have a disk then try this (printer should be ON):
Enter "device manager" in your Windows search area
Then look for your printer under imaging devices or printers, depending on your Windows version, (click
on the "+" to open)
Then right click on your printer
select properties
In the new window that opens up (GENERAL should be the tab it opens up to), does it say "this device is working properly"?
Click on the second tab DRIVER
Then click on UPDATE DRIVER
save changes
You might need to restart.
Hope this helps.
I have lost all plug in's for my desk top printer
HP and other companies will quite happily sell you one but you will pay a premium price for it. You can also just buy any replacement power cord for a pc for a few dollars. The usb cable is also just s a standard item. If you can buy them locally you should get both for under $10 instead of being cloers to $50 from HP. I've run across both in dollar stores and computer shops.
The only thing you have to watch for when you buy a replacement is making sure the printer usb cable has the correct ends. One end that plugs into the computer is a standard USB connector and the printer end will either look the same or will look like a doghouse shape (seenon end). Just look at the printer before you go to the store and you should be fine.
Lost disk for install
Hi,
You can download the installation drivers and software from manufacturer's site by clicking this
link
- On the page which opens, select the operating system (Windows Xp/Vista..) of your computer and download the appropriate drivers and software from the next page which opens.
Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.
