How to fix okidata c 711 error code 134
Error code 134 on the OKI C711 refers to the white ribbon cable that plugs into the Black LED head. If it has come out of the head then check that the silver contacts are in good condition and none are touching each other. If any of them are touching each other then its a certainty that fuse F12 on the main board will have blown. If they are good then push it back in but this must only be done with the power off. I cant remember whether the 711 has a plug on the end of the cable or just has silver contacts. If F12 has blown then you cant replace it as its part of the board. Only a pcb repairer can change it or fitting a new board.
Where is the print head of oki data c 711
Open the main cover. Look up inside it and there you will see the long black printhead (A4 wide) hanging down. It will have a white flat cable connecting it to the machine.
How to fix oki error code 134
This machine will most probably require the main board as sometimes the heads can get knocked and temporarily disconnect. I have had this a few times and replaced many boards (the fuse blows that supplies the heads on the board).
Also, before replacing the board, the values of the faulty board will need to be pulled off with MUWIN and put onto the new board (meter readings and consumable usage).
Oki c711 toner sensor error
replaced drum and toner and still get toner sensor error
In the metal chassis there is an oval hole. This aligns with the back of the drum where you see a silver disk and hole. A light beam shines from the oval hole in the chassis into the back of the drum. This sensor that emits the light will be covered in toner hence no light. Just get a cotton bud and poke it into the oval hole and you will end up with toner on the bud. Replace the drum and all will be well.
OKI C711 928:fatal error
Just to confirm that Jeff Hughes is correct. 928 does refer to paper wrapped around the fuser rollers making the thermistor see nothing hence the 928. If there is no paper in the fuser then it will need to be replaced. Remember to turn the machine off when removing or replacing the fuser.
Oki B431D error 127
The fan on the left side of the chassis has either failed or is running slow. They do however get quite a lot of dust and c--p on them and that can slow them down. Remove the left side cover and clean the fan. If that does not cure it then a new one is required. The part number and description are: 43289101 OR-Motor-FAN(80). Any OKI dealer should be able to get it for you.
Put A4 in upper tray error
Change the printer properties to use paper from the automatic feeder tray. And, unless you are in Europe, you probably don't want to specify A4 paper. Try "letter" or some other size. The manual is at this URL. See page 49 http://www.manualslib.com/manual/113847/Oki-B4545-Mfp.html
