The lights continually flashing indicate a paper jam or the printer being out of ink. Check/clear any paper jam and verify the ink cartidge is set correctly.

You have to install the CD for the C48 Epson Stylus but be sure to connect the cable wire to the PC and the power must be switch on. During the installation of the printer, the PC searches for any device installed. When done, click Menu start and go to control panel to set up epson as default. Check Epson c48 listed in your printer and choose default.

@Linzi_mackie "c48 not loading..." Check that paper is not curled at leading edge. Some printers are finicky about exact straightness. Otherwise check: Paper not glossy - roller-gripper may be doing a 'wheelie' on the edge. Rubber gripper not worn down - the pickup roller usually has one or more rubber 'rings' around the roller to grab & feed paper by friction. If all else fails, open cover and inspect gearing to roller, broken brackets which can cause misalignment. Try running 'open' and see what happens. Regards, Clive.

just switch it on and open the front part. the catridge room will come to middle and u can insert it . remove a  small plastic strip on th enew catridge before ou insert 

kindly replace the print cartridge.your problem will solved

It seems that the waste pad inside the printer needs to be replaced. And only a qualified service tech from epson can do it. Alternatively you can reset the counter for waste pad protection, meaning it will still work but the waste pad would still be needed to be replaced since it might be the end of it's capacity.

Remove your printer from the PC and un-install the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and connect the Printer to be detected and installed. Check printer properties to see the ink levels. Now hold down the two keys for maintenace as the cartridges will come to the center. replace.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken . It is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the command , can be an issue with ink drying , can also be poor ink cartridge contacts

The first thing to do is to check all physical connections. It is amazing how many people skip this step. From a technician's point of view, checking physical connections is generally the first step to any problem. Usually with my experience however, printer issues are based on the software level, not the physical level. However, ignoring this step can bring many headaches.

The second step is to reinstall the printer with up-to-date drivers. Typically, manufacturers upload updated drivers on the Internet compared to the software that was included in the purchase of the printer. To reinstall a printer, go to Printers and Faxes in Windows XP. Highlight the printer, and click delete this printer. The Operating System will ask you if you are sure you want to delete the printer, and say yes. At this point, if the printer is USB, unplug the printer from the computer.

On a side note, the general practice is to install USB software before the device is plugged in.

Go online to your printer's manufacturer's website, and download the drivers for your printer. Once it is downloaded, run the software. This software installs needed information for your printer to talk to your processor, or essentially your computer in regards to printing. Most driver installation software allows you to print a test page after the installation completes. Go ahead and print a test page!

Now, if your printer still does not print, we can then conclude it is most likely a hardware problem. The physical printer could be bad, or the connecting cable is bad, or the port is bad on the computer. Go ahead and change ports on the computer, to rule out the possibility of a bad port. Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage. Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

I see that you are facing issues while printing.

There could be two distinct reasons for the same.

Are blank pages coming out of the printer when you print?
If yes, it has to do with the ink, cartridge, alignment, cleaning etc.

If there are no papers coming out, then we need to look at the paper path and error codes.

I suspect you mean that it is the former.
In a bid to resolve that please re-seat the cartridges in the printer once.

Open the door, take them out and put them back in ensuring they "click" into place.
Were the cartridges replaced recently?

Once seated, turn the printer on and perform alignment and force clean the cartridges.
That helps to clean any blocked ink which has dried out.
