If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

the printer heads is dirt, you have an option in the software to clean them. But if the ink is dry, you probably will have to make it several times

install new cartridge...............install proper driver for your model from the website ........take a test page ......

If the printer is printing blank pages, make sure you are using the correct printer driver and make sure the paper size is correctly selected in the driver. If the printer is printing black only, the Ink option in the printer driver may be set to Black instead of Color or a setting in the software may be set to print black only. Also, the print head nozzles may be clogged. Perform a head cleaning If there are still gaps in the dot pattern, continue with another cycle. Perform up to 6 cycles if necessary.

Try Ebay - bought refills from Ebay before - $8.00 each and not a thing wrong with them.

Can Not Install my Z640 Printer

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Try to figure out if its hardware or software issue.
unplug power adaptor from the back of printer.press and hold the button on printer and simultaneosly plug the power adaptor..if a test page prints out-hardware is fine and issue is with software..to correct software issues-try driver uninstall and reinstall.

Tescos do their own No17 cart that works fine

go to printers maker site and download the drivers for the right model of your printer

Just put your model # in the search bar and select the OS and you are good to go. Sorry I couldn't get you a direct link to the driver from them.

I had the same problem with the Lexmark Z645 and Vista. After a lot of effort I gave up and emailed Lexmark.
Their response was surprisingly helpful:

First download and run "CleanupUtility.exe" from: ftp://ftp.lexmark.com/driver/inkjet_drivers/Cleanup/

Then unplug the printer's USB cable and restart your PC.

Then download and run the printer's drivers/install program for Vista, from: http://downloads.lexmark.com:/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:548:0:0&emeaframe=&fileID=10374&searchLang=en&searchLang=en&os_group=Windows%20Vista

Only plug the USB cable back in when the drivers/install program tells you to.

After install, I think it asks for another reboot.
Then all should work fine.

Just enter your model number of z515 in the Search by Model Box. Then just choose your operating system and it should automatically take you to the driver section to download the appropriate driver.

If I were you I woudl download the manual for the Z600 which might be close enought to specific manual in order to read the info you desire.

Failing that install the printer using the "install new hardware" routine and see if windows has a compatible driver already.
