i lost my installation disk for my lexmark z640 printer. so now it won't communicate with my computer, and i have alot of homework to do. Its kind of hard without a printer.

Hi! I searched the Lexmark website for drivers for my Lexmark z640 printer and couldn't find any for mac OS... I also checked other websites with no luck... does anyone know where I could look, or if my printer can ever be compatible with Mac os x? Thanks!
go to www.lexmark.com click on drivers and downloads then click on OS compatibility lists. Click on MAC OS X and then click on home or small office/home office. This will take you to a complete list of compatible drivers for the MAC OS X for all of lexmarks printers. If it does not appear then there are no MAC OS drivers. Which I looked at for you and they do not have any. But you will see a list for the printers that they do have them for.

My friend gave my my Lexmark Z640 series color jetprinter but couldn't find the installation disk. I need to install the printer to my computer but without the disk I can't. Can you please help me so I can get it installed. A lot of the work I do on the computer requires me to have a printer.

when i was installing it on my window xp professional it would not install it told me to insert a driver disk that did not come with the printer

When I try to print out anything, the printer tries to print but when it is about to it it followed by a red flashing light, this light has an arrow pointing down at lines, next to that is an 8. I also then hear a series of clicking sounds, i've taken the printer apart to check for paper jams and things but i cant see anything! I could really use some assistance.
clean or replace the rollers that feed paper into the copier... use rubbing alcohol or isopryl alcohol to clean them...

Lexmark Z640 Printer only prints to 99% and then stops & needs to be closed. Can not print another document until the computer is restarted. How do I get it to print 100% so that I can print again? Please advise Sylvia
Go to start menu, open printer and faxes option. Right click your printer icon and open properties. Click on the port tab and verify that Enable bidirectional support is selected. If not click on it to check it. Click on OK and it shd work..

Not if you have Vista 64 Bit, download the Vista 64-Bit driver. To check which version of Vista you have right click on 'Computer' icon on the desktop and select properties. See the 'System Type' to find out.
