NO OS told , but is 2008 relic AMD chips ATI SB600 has zero support now for the OS or the maker,Acer. just happen out of the blue? or bought a relic failing PC, no history told blue? when did login';s last work great. was good but not now, the OS is corrupted or the HDD is bad. this is a 2007 vISTA PC, oct 2009 is w7 and your PC is older The OS can be hacked easy VISTAS login hacks. but.. but if still fails the HDD is bad as most are 9 years old even 5yo. we run full smart tests in a shop on any old PC we run that on the HDD if fails it is a no good drive. buy a new boot drive and load VISTA 32 or 64bit only there is no w7 hear. seen here and proof. and AMD also ended all nforce chip support / https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/338?b=1 but you have no Vista install disks./

That problems cure only one way. i.e., change and reboot the OS. All error are deleted.......

Two things may have happened:

The hard drive has failed, so it is trying to boot from the next available drive (floppy)

or

The BIOS battery went dead, and has reset to factory defaults and it trying to boot from the floppy drive.

If you can get into the bios ( hold F1+ F2+ CTRL+ ALT+ ESC after you turn it on), look for anything related to "boot" and change the boot drive order. If you find it, be sure to save the settings, then restart.

**note**, alot of the old computers have a very primative BIOS, and you may not be able to change the boot order.

Let me know if this gets you into the bios, as they changed "how" to do it over the years.

go to control panel then to the sound and devices then open it and see if the box has been check on mute if that is the case remove the check mark and press apply if not check the box place the volumen icon in the task bar and then do apply,,,this will put the spaeker icon in the battom right to the screen next to the time clock click on it and set the volumen as you desire by drag up the volumen bar rate me fixya

i have an acer t180 which has 1gb ram and amd athlon 64x2 processon which gives me 2.01 ghz speed, i'v installed windows 7 ultimate converting from xp and everything seems to be running fine, there are netbooks etc which have low ram and processor speed but they still are sold by big companies with windows 7 installed

u have to go to control panel>phone and modem options>Modems>select modem>Properties and than in advance tab and give extra initialization command ``s=40`` and than log off your computer and than try....

That old pc used a pci card. unplug the power cord to the pc let it sit for 5 minutes. open the side panel take the 1 screw out that holds the card in place pull it out and look the model number up on google. Go to the manufactures website and download the driver for your card.

If it doesnt load in recovery mode.

you need a new video card Unless an on-board video card is conflicting with the installed video card then in bios there will be a setting to select witch video card it uses. But if no vision at all need a new video card

keep start button pressed 30 seconds, the pc should turn off. If not brutally unplug the power cable. Do a scan disk on restart.

try to unistall noron anti virus and install AVG it works better.

go to system BIOS and clear the log.

If the recovery partition is intact, boot the machine and press ALT + F10 simultaneously. If the partition still exists and hasn't been corrupted, the machine will take you through the recovery process of which Factory Restore is among the options.
