I would try another usb port if you have not yet. The other issue that is possible is that the computers power supply is "on edge" and the bit of extra power from the usb, is causing it to shut down. Actually, pretty common on the GT5034, I would take it to a shop and see if they will test the power supply free. Please leave a positive rating.

Make sure you've got the latest version of Itunes installed, if you have Itunes on your PC at all.

Hi I had the same problem, for a few days the new Iphone worked fine then started to appear as digital picture divice then just shut my Laptop down as soon as i plugged it in. I contacted Apple who were very helpfull and sent me 4 mails with advice. The one that worked for me was ...........
If you have anything running on your pc/Laptop with Logitech driver it conflicts with the apple drivers. I had a built in webcam on Laptop and when I typed Logitech in the search on start menu found it was run by that driver. I uninstalled it and deleted all the relavent files plugged Iphone in and no more problems except I now dont have a webcam but I thought small price to pay.

does your computer have a webcam? if it does, the computer is restarting itself because it identifies two conflicting cameras - one from your computer, the other from your iphone. what you can do is either 1)update your camera drive, 2)update your computer drive or 3)use a computer that does not have a webcam connected to it. hope this helped!

if the pc its shutting down when ya plug that device ..this just means that it has some settings against this kinda devices or windows do not recognize it well and it sees it like pest ...and shuts down the pc as protection .....its eiter doesnt have a USB 2.0 port ..or its just a firewall kinda problem ...try it on other pc-s and see if the problem persist there ...if not its from your machine ..if other computers shuts down too ..its from the "bloody " I phone ...might have something in it ..a bug ..or a software protection ...

powersource is good.motherboard might be the problem.harddrive can be tested by putting it in
another computer and see if it boot up.to test the mother board unhook the cd drives and harddrive.turn
on the computer and see if the gateway logo comes on.if it still does the the samething with everything unhooked
then it might be the bios.you might have to flash the bios and reinstall it.to do this i recommend you take it to a
shop.if the comp runs with everything still unpluged and stops then you know that you have a wrong
setting on the harddrive or cd drive.if you got two of anything make sure that you have a slave or master.if you nned me to

This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor. No you don't need a driver. These are very plain powered speakers that come with a mains adapter and a lead with a 3.5mm stereo jack at both ends. Plug one in the speaker and the other into the headphone jack on the front or the speaker socket on the back which will either be a socket on the motherboard, or if your son put a sound card in the computer, it will be in a sound card. If it doesn't play straight away, go into Settings - Audio and make sure the sound card or the On-Board Audio is enabled. They deleted the Operating System by deleting their own stuff Docs, images, Saved Links etc. and also everything in Windows System probably in spite. You need to reload the operating system (Win 11) from fresh. Charge them from their final pay check, or ask IT to do it.

When I Google the model number the first thing that shows is Replacement LCD Screens for it which leads me to believe there is an issue with them. There is three parts to the display, the video card section, the exciter module and the screen itself. It needs correct diagnosis, or buy a new one now you have reset it clean, if that is what you mean by 'hard restart'? You might mean 'hard boot', power off and back on without proper shutdown.
