Hunter ceiling fan. Lights and fans turn on and

I just installed a 2nd hunter fan model 23811 that also seems to be controlled by grimlins. If the power is left on, the light and fan randomly turn on and off. And no, it is not due to fans being on the same frequency. It appears to be an issue with the control module. I'm contacting Hunter.

If you look at the piece that nudges up to the ceiling, there should be some screws somewhere near the very top, right by the ceiling. If they are there, unscrew them and you should be able to figure out how to twist it to remove it. If the screws are not there, try twisting the piece at the ceiling counterclockwise, sometimes its got some catches and you just turn it to kind of set it in place. If this is the case, you should be able to just twist it and it should drop. Either way (by the way, those are the only 2 ways it is possibly held on), once that part is done, you simply lift up on the fan to remove it from the ceiling bracket, unscrew the wirenuts (WITH THE POWER OFF), and remove the ceiling bracket. Then all you do is reverse the process for where you want to put it up. The wires are color coded-black from the ceiling to blue or red on the fan. White from ceiling to white on fan. And the green to the green. Good luck.

We heard a loud pop & now the lights won't

Best to look for a wire that shorted out ( made the popping noise) and repair it.
Turn the power off and disessable the fixture carefully looking for a wire that the insulation ha worn through or that has broken or come free. You'll also probably find a nice burn mark.
Check the breaker that the light is on also ... it may be tripped

My Hunter 60" fan and

Inside the light/fan assembly is a controller for the remote functions. It is a small plastic box and these controller are known to fail, and when they do, the fan will not operate. It is possible for the motor to be bad, but this is a rare thing to happen. Replace the controller.

HUNTER ceiling fan remote works with fan but not light

Unfortunately, you either have a faulty reciever or remote. A replacement will cost $30-$40 at homedepot2.gif. And it doesn't matter which is faulty because you can't purchase them seperately anyhow. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jerry_612d8419f8984578
