Machine is probably not in the fully "at rest" position. See if you can get the tray in without any other parts on it. Sometimes the waste grounds bin will foul on the mechanism if brewing unit has not stopped in the correct position. Once the bare tray is in and activating the switch the machine will realign itself when turned on.

I have the same problem. Not a solution, but you can still take the ground beans and brew coffee, using the pre-ground compartment.

Hi If you remove the brew unit and put everything back with out it the brew unit. Turn th machine on and see if it will cycle? Open the door and look in the back where the brew unit was. There is a cog in the back with teeth. There are 2 large teeth, and they should be at the 10 and 12:00 position roughly. If they are anywhere else you have a broken drive and need to get the gears replaced. If they are in the correct position check the front of the brew unit where the circles are. There are 2 diamonds and they should be pointing at each other. if they are not you need to bring them together with the key tool. Insert it into the center of the circles and turn until they line up, then put back into the machine, and see if it will work. If it still doesn't you have a bad board.

Look at the sensor for the door to see if there is any broken plastic pieces or perhaps the sensor has come loose and just needs adjusting.

Just let it run the cycle,don't press any buttons.
When it runs out of water refill it and let it continue.
I get this problem a lot,

If its is only the rinsing cycle at start up you can go into the menu and turn the rinsing cycle off.
If its the rinsing cycle for the descale, it has to run out of water to finish. Then reprime the machine and it will start to heat again.

Well I guess you know the display is burned out, the question is this do they make parts for the appliance, based on my experience the answer is no.

Check the 2-pole circuit breaker on the left side. You have to remove the back by removing 2 screws. Use a multimeter, test for continuity over both poles. My ~8 year old Gaggia Titanium Plus was dead one morning. I checked the circuit breaker and one of the two poles were bad. I replaced the C.B. and all was fine :-)

The heating element is shorted out. Contact the manufacturer for a replacement part (if available)

IT LOOKS THAT THE COMPUTER IS TELLING YOU TO CLOSE THE DOOR FERST BEHIND THAT DOOR MAY BE A MICRO SWITCH WICH IS NOT DOING WHAT ITS SUPPOSE TO DO TRY TO OPEN AND CLOSE MAY BE YOU HAVE TO BE ALITTLE HURDER THEN NORMAL AS THE SWICH MAY BE WEAK. TRY THIS FERST

not good you need to remove the display and dry it up and see if the contacts are clean and soldered do solder if its ok only clean it with contact cleaner for electronics
