Malfunction 8 On Screen

Likely cause of this is a blocked worm drive. The worm drive takes the coffee in and then, after brewing, ejects the used grounds into the Dump box. Over time, coffee grounds accumulate on the worm drive and eventually jam it. This is Malfunction 8. Machine will need to be stripped and cleaned. Hope this helps.

Machine grinds beans but dumps coffee in box cup

hi , sounds like the dump valve solenoid has failed or the valve on the base of the brewer has failed probably stuck,.which is the more likely culprit. let me know if you require more in depth help. its not a problem that can be resolved by a novice.

If you need a Franke trained coffee machine engineer

Hi
I have just bought a Franke Flair coffee machine second hand. It looks like new and the seller said it was in good working order - however it does not have the grinder blocker and I think we need one. I wouldn't mind also getting the once over from an expert and then maybe some kind of ongoing contact should we have problems with it. What are your rates?

I get the message "Rinse unit" I do so and the machine rinses in a normal way. Instead of "Select product" the "Rinse unit" appears again. I can not continue from here. Any ideas?

you might escape this fix without using specially tools or screwdrivers. you are receiving this message because the rinse head sensor isn't working properly. during the machine movement the rinse head down sensor was not triggered. 1. check the gap between the top of the rinse nozzle & the bottom of the pipette. measurements should be around 1.5 to 2mm 2. you might have to invite the newelectronx 102 to the party and check the sensor. if necessary open the machine with the correct screwdrivers and adjust the sensor. this should get you through the rinse cycle.

I'm getting too much water for a shot making it more like a shot and a half. How do I reduce the volume of water?

That could either be an increase in water pressure or the shot timer needs to be reset to a lower value.

How do I check the milk brother valve on my coffee machine

saphira? check the air nozzle on top of the cappu-outlet . if the machine indicates that you should descale, the cleaning cyclus wont work. to descale you have to turn off the machine by pressing the on-off button on the front side (behind the tea-and steam button). if the machine is turned off, press the descale button for 3 seconds. after the descaling cyclus you will be able to clean the machine.

Ho do I descale the machine

you need to shut down the machine on the frontpanel first. then you must push the descale-button (the one with the little triangles on it). the machine will give the instructions on the display. note that you have to use exactly 0,7 L of descaling product. the same for the rinsing water. if you use more, it will take a very long time ;-)

I have a Franke ecolino machine and i need to replace the switch for the motor that controls the up and down press?

the right hand panel needs to be removed. once removed you will have access to the brew unit. half way up the brew unit you can see the switch that is needed to be replaced. the switch is secured by a couple of screws. and attached by 2 control wires. from there it is a simple replacement of the switch. if you require further info. feel free to email me.. bob

Comes up on the screen displaying 'malfunction 8',

It's the brewer unit issue.Does your unit make loud noise when you start the machine if it does then it's drive motor fault mostly it's one of the screw that holds the motor may be broken.
