I have a wireless ew500-965 wireless unit. this thing is so hot can't turn it down enough picks up everything within 7-10 feet away. not sure how to set up so it can be used.

Search on internet for owners manual. There is usually a small set screw within mic to help with the gain/sensitivity.

Senheiser freeport no sound

If it seems as though the transmitter signal is being received but there is no audio, disconnect the 3 or 4 pin connector of the mic and touch the different pins while transmitting to the receiver. If there is audio hum or buzz, the mic itself is probably dead. A wire could be off inside its connector.

After working correctly for months, my wireless headphone stopped transmitting anything -- not even static

It could be that the rechargeable battery has failed. Take the batteries out and then replace them. Why is the green light not on with my senheiser tr120 senheiser head phones

There's an auto-shutoff feature which kicks in when the audio input to the transmitter is too low. That's usually indicated by the green light on the transmitter turning off. Just increase the volume on the device connected to the transmitter, and you should see the green light come back on. As long as that's on, it'll stay transmitting.

Hi. Suddenly the volume controls for my Sennheiser i300 headphones for iPhone have stopped working. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Paz

I thought this was another example of the proprietary world of Apple, whereas any non-Apple made or certified headphones/headsets with mic and/or volume control will not work with an iPhone or iPad (I am not sure about iPod). It took me many headsets to figure out what was going on. However, your headphones seem to be made for iPhone and sold in Apple stores. If this is the case, I will go back to any Apple store and talk with the tech people there about your situation.

How do you repair a sennheiser sk100 jack socket

I assume you mean the mic plug/jack. Bent pins or broken connectors will require a new jack and/or plug installed and they are not easy to do. These 3.5 mm jack connectors require both a light touch during install and soldering. If you're a pro then start shopping for a replacement 3.5 mm mono jack but be warned. The jack may solder directly to the PC board....which reminds me. Look for broken connections from jack to PC board..a common failure point and resolder as needed.

Help with microphone

This doesn't sound good...mic cartridges are pretty fragile and is why I recommend buying quality mic's so that a few "drops" won't change the sound. That being said, the Sen MD431 is over $400 which should mean either you gave it one heck of an impact, or the mic has a manufacturing defect. Try returning for factory service BUT request an estimate B-4 repair.
