Unfortunately your phone can't play .avi files. The only video formats it supports are .mp4 and .3gp. You will need to convert your .avi file to one of the two file formats I mentioned in order to watch the video on your phone. Good luck!

Does the phone usually gets hot before the battery runs down?

Try changing the battery, maybe the battery cell is weak.

By default, your phone lock code is 0000 but you can change this to any 4 to 8 digit code you want. To edit your phone lock code, go to:

Settings >> General tab >> Locks >> Phone Lock >> Change Code.

Now, to set the phone lock,

Go to Settings > the General tab > Locks > Phone Lock > Protection and select an alternative.

It is important that you remember your new code because you have to take the phone to your sony ericson retailer to unlock it.

I would try another battery. If it still happens the trouble is your phone. If it doesn't the trouble was the battery. That's your next step. Ask a new question stating that a new battery did not solve the problem if the issue persists with a new battery.
