Philips 42PF9630A Not Working - Red Led Blinks 7 Times

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ http://homenol.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts. Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location.

My Philips 50PFP5332D 50 in makes this clicking

its the capacitor inside the tv open it up and you should see atleast 1 capacitor which has bulged ( looks like glue coming out of it ) usually a 3000 ~ you can replace these yourself no problem for around 10p each but i do warn you there is a chance you could lose your built in freeview in doing so!

Phillips TV makes a crackling noise then it shuts off

Well if the power supply board alone is making the same then clearly the problem is in it. I can't tell you remotely what makes the noise and why is it shutting down. I've seen them make noise because of a shorted diode in the PFC circuit, because of a failed capacitor in the Vs or standby circuit, because of a cracked solder joint in some of the large transformers or because of a worn out filter capacitors. Oh, and because of a failing thermistor at the board's input, but that's usually accompanied with smoke and is easy to detect, plus it only happens once or at most twice. If course it may as well be something else. The best I can do is offer you to send the board to us for inspection and repair. This should be the board and the repair service we offer for it: http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/215/lj92-01511a-996510019427-power-supply-board-philips-50pfp5332d-service-repair Hope that helps!

Power light is on but screen is staying blank

The experience I have seen with this model is on the power supply module, near the lower center of the board, check for two swollen 3300Mfd 10V capacitors, change these two parts and you might correct the issue. The board is perhaps part number LJ44-00108.

How can I connect Philip model 50PFP5532D to my PC using mediaconnect?

No place to put your RGB on the PC or on the TV? Your TV should have an RGB port for sure. The "green" may be yellow instead.
Your PC will need a video card installed that features a RGB output to make it work from there.
Some PCs use DVI out instead. You would then need a DVI/HDMI converter to plug into your TV's HDMI port and then to the PC.

Looking for digital optical connection

Look for the digital audio out port on the TV. It has a rubber plug covering it to keep dirt out. remove that plug and connect the sound bar.

Clicking sound when you plug it in. picture won't come on

Plasmas are notorious for a slight humming or buzz that emits when they are on... A clicking sound when plugged in isn't nececessarily bad. However, the picture not working is bad and this may require a technician. Are you using the proper power cord that came with your tv? Are you able to use the included remote or use the power buttons on the television itself? Has the tv been moved or dropped recently?

Plug tv in and comes on ok but picture resolution apears very slow

There are several possibilities here.If the picture is very dark and blotchy you may have a bad X-MAIN (ZSUS) board. It can also be the Y-Main board, but less likely, it usually fails in a different way. Here are a few useful repairs for your TV we offer: http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/search?Q=50PFP5332D&As=false&Pf=&Pt=&Sid=false&btnsearch=Search (Basically just a search of the TV model at the site to see what it comes up with) Hope it helps!
