Keeps on loading and never plays the disc
The only thing you can try is clean the laser lens with rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip, allow several minutes to dry before testing, If this fails the laser pickup assembly will need to be replaced, a costly adventure.
How can i fix the
First you should do the basic, try to use a cd cleaner if still same problem try to use a cotton buds to wipe it but be sure not to touch the lens. If still no changes your optical lens must be adjust, remove the optical lens you will see a potentiometer under the optical lens try to adjust it,but very slight adjustment is needed the try to test your unit. Hope that this may help.
Put disc in and close.
Hi,
Is it an issue with all the CD's or with one? If it is with all or most of the CD's, this is more often an issue with the lens.
You could go to Walmart or Radioshack and buy a lens cleaner CD and run it. If that would not resolve the problem, then you could open the player and clean the lens with clean cotton. Sometimes, this would work like anything.
Unless the last resolution is replacement of lens which is not cost effective comparing the cost of new players. I know,it's frustrating but that is my honest opinion.
Note - This could be due to blown IC's or faulty circuitry ( Both are rare ).
Good Luck!!
Thanks!!
Audiovox D1998 portable DVD player will no long read disc.
This of course may not be the exact same thing, but mine did the same thing. Sounding like it was loading, but in fact pressing the open button it I could see the disc not spining at all (normally you would.) With the power off of course. I took all the bottom screws out (where ever the arrow points to a screw) including to the display. There is one ribbon cable easily disconnected. I lifted the mount the DVD sits on and reseated it. I put a disc in it, turned on the power and the disc turned. Great I thought. I reconnect the cable, put the screws back in - and its working.
Dvd error, No Disc.
Yet there
The error means that the player doesn't recognize the disc. This can be caused dirt on the lens or the optical drive lens not tracking properly (It isn't looking where the data was burned on the disc.) Problems with the disc can also cause the issue (disc not finalized, scratched, etc).
Try a lens cleaner and a different dvd. Otherwise, it probably isn't worth fixing, imo.
I wish that I could be of more help.

Disc stops during playback
Hi DO NOT LOOK INTO THE RED EYE this is a lazer beam & the unit is not working safely if it is doing this & if it is the portable type dvd 7inch etc it is better to get a new one as the part are more than the cost of a new one .
Loose connection at power pluggin
Hello kclark723,
If it's not the cord itself its the female plug in on the main board of the dvd player. There is little you can do about this as it is soldered onto the board and can not be replaced except by an experienced electronics repair technician.
The cost of having such a thing done would be nearly as much as buying a new one. If it is still under warranty then you can send it in to the manufacture to have it repaired or replaced. If not then you will have to decide upon having it repaired (portable dvd players are meant to be thrown away when suffering from such damage) or you can buy a new one.
Sorry about your misfortune, and thank you for trying Fixya!
Blue light on antenna isn't turning on remote start won't work.
It's possible that the issue with your Audiovox pursuit PRO9056c remote start system is related to the antenna or its connection. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the antenna connection: Make sure the antenna is properly connected to the control module of the remote start system. You may need to remove the panel where the antenna is mounted to access the wiring and connections. Check the wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion, and make sure the connections are tight.
- Check the fuse: The remote start system may have a fuse that is responsible for powering the antenna. Check the fuse to make sure it is not blown or damaged.
- Reset the system: Try resetting the remote start system by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then reconnecting it. This may help reset the system and resolve any issues that were causing it to malfunction.
- Consult a professional: If you are not familiar with automotive electronics or are unable to resolve the issue with the above steps, it may be best to consult with a professional technician who can diagnose and repair the system for you.
It's also possible that there is a problem with the remote start system itself, such as a malfunctioning control module
