I have a Kodak 1275. Green light would go on the off and lens was stuck open. Now for solution that worked for me. Get a can of compressed air, like what you use for computer keyboards. Blow the compressed air all around your stuck open lens, not to fast and switch directions of where you blow air around stuck opened lens. Make sure batteries are fresh and fully charged. Tap your camera against the palm of your hand twice, not to hard or you may damage instead of jarring lens lose. Next lay your camera on a table lens facing up, push power button on so camera will try to auto focus and lens should reseat itself and lens should move freely. It doesn`t have to look dirty or dusty, little tiny particles can cause the lens to get stuck and shut off fast because it is a safety feature. If this does not work try plugging your camera into computer so the lcd screen does not try to go on , thus giving even more power to get your lens moving . Do not try to force it closed by pushing or twisting with your hand or you may cause damage that will cost as much as the camera to fix.

Your camera can be used in SCN mode. There you can choose different settings. Whit these settings some colour creation can take place.
Also in the P and or M mode this can happen.
If your camera is in Automatic it should operate correct.
If you choose a scene, choose the correct one. Don't use museum, when you are outside or beach somewhere inside. not even with bright lights.
I hope this helps.

Ebay has been the cheapest and easiest for me. Ebay will have a better choice of equipment than Target, Walmart, or even a camera shop. Stores don't really tell you anything about what your looking for. With Ebay, the auction site explains what its selling, with photos to help you decide. But, if you have a large budget, go to anywhere that has camera stuff and buy what you need.

The problem is a faulty CCD. Replacing the CCD yourself is possible but its really a difficult task. It is cheaper to simply buy another used z1275, because a CCD can cost about the same as a used camera. You can also buy parts-cameras but you don't know if the CCD is good or not. Ebay always has a good selection of cameras..

Do you really need to install your camera?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

No. The Z1275 is not a battery charger. If you want to use rechargeable batteries then you must charge them outside the camera using a separate battery charger.

you might like to try my littel fix for this problem

you are probably going to think I am loony giving you this advise But No I am completely sane!

Get a can of compressed air OR acces to a compressor at your local garage Get them to fit the triggered air blower tool to it.

Blow around the lens in all the extension joins the firmly slap it in the palm of you hand with the side of the camera making contact with you palm. Do the procedure two or 3 times and inbetween the slaps turn it on to activate the lens mechanism. I have now fixed about 80 of these cameras with this method. I obtained the fix from Sony,Canon and Kodak who charge $90 to do exactly the same. Keep at it as it will eventually work. One tip, make sure the battery is charged before you do this.

Please rate my help++++Thanks for using FIXYA
