May be power supply

the lamp may be faulty needs replacement, another culprit is the color wheel when worn out they tend to get stuck and cant spin hence the clicks as tries to spin needs replacement most color wheels come inbuilt in the light engine u will need a tech to replace it and u are good to go remeber the lamp cant turn on if the color wheel is stuck cos its the one that syncrinizes with dmd board which in turn activates the ballast board to fire or light the lamp

some tv are not made for all type of color system. you can read the users manual for forther details. if your tv is multisystem, u can see the menu of your color tv by pressing menu button on remote. it sould be under picture settings or under tunning settings. some set top box provide color system choice. so to get correct color you need to get setellite receiver which has option to change the color system to NTSC.

While it is unusual that the power light is steady instead of blinking a trouble code, I still believe the main power supply has failed since the failure is affecting both video and audio.
Since there are now millions of individual components in the chips used in modern sets, it may just have 'hung fire.'
You might try pulling the AC plug overnight to see if a locked-up circuit will recover without power applied.

You can fix it yourself . Just measure the distance between clips to get the dimensions and most glass shops can cut you a mirror to your specs and install it yourself. A repair shop would probably be in the neighborhood of around 350 to repair it. Its just a regular mirror attached to the rear wall of your unit with screw i clips.

I would suggest to call sony and ask them for the price, if that is too expensive; measure the area where the mirror was mounted and instead of buying it from sony, go to a place where they sell mirrors and ask them to cut one for you. Just do not tell them the purpose of it because they may charge you more.

This TV is 10 years old and probably requires a service that replaces the backlight invertor or just a power supply issue. Check to see if the light blinks. (That is the fault code and then google the result for more information).
