Had the same problem and i replaced the inverter

If you replace the inverter board, you need to check and see if it is getting the correct voltage going to the board, from the power supply. The voltage should be written on the connector on the inverter. It is coming from the power supply board. Make sure it is correct, if it is correct, than you probably have a bad panel, if it is not correct then you need to change the power supply.

My vizio vx37l will power up but it wont get any

My TV did the same thing. You need a new power supply. Fairly simple to do yourself. The card is about a hundred bucks with shipping. The part number is 0500-0507-0250. You just have to take the back of the TV off (about a hundred screws). Just unplug the old one and plug the new one in.

Hi,

I am sorry to hear regarding the problem. The most likely cause of your line problem is a bad LCD panel. This is the picture is usually caused by a fault where the ribbon bales which provide the electrical connection for the LCD panel attach to the glass. Unfortunately, the only way to fix this probelm is to replace the LCD panel, which will normally cost more than replaing the entire TV.

I wish i could have a better solution.

Note - The above details is only for information purposes. The solution is totally based on the symptoms and details given in the question.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Hello! I have a vizio vx

You will need to do in-depth troubleshooting, starting at the power supply caps, then the backlight inverter baord for short circuits.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools, electronics knowledge, and know safety precaution then please read on:

When I turn on the

The only time I've seen this issue is with a TV being used as a computer monitor. It is hibernating and waiting for a signal from the computer on the video cable (HDMI or VGA). Try pressing the Input button on the TV or the TV button on the remote.

Also double check that the input source signal is giving data. (Set-top box is on, coax cable undamaged and connected.) Usually I don't see hibernation in the TV mode but I won't rule out the issue.

If the TV is on the correct input source and it is a working feed, then I'd suspect damage to the video board or tuner of the TV. If the TV is out of warranty, you can open up the TV, removing the shielding and look for obvious damage - scorch marks, soot, bulging or leaking capacitors. Then there is the less obvious damage that may be involved, bad solder points or cracks in any other components. Some parts can be replaced (try shopjimmy.com and use the part number on the damaged board as your reference number. The site specializes in reclaimed parts from TVs that were damaged in shipping and thus had no use after the QC at the factory. They sell the entire board so you don't get frustrated with finding more damage after fixing the obviously damaged capacitors.)

I hope this helps.

Vizio 37" no longer turn on

It depnds, if the board is labled with voltages at the DC output connectors or not, if not, you will have to trace out the connection to find out which one is 5vdc standby, switched 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24vdc (I have to do that all the time when I work on circuits without diagram).

My screen is white can hear talkng but no picture.

It is either the T-CON not getting the 12vdc from main board, or blown fuse in the T-CON board, or bad main board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board, you will need the scope to look at the signals feeding the T-CON board to narrow down the problem.
