37 inch LG LCD won't turn on due to power failure

Power failures can cause all types of problems, have you firstly checked the fuse in the mains plug? If that is ok then it may have blown an internal fuse in the power supply board, these are there to protect the rest of the circuit from power surges.

Screen got hit with a stick. screen has blue vertical lines.

The screen itself can't be fixed, only replaced. Here's the part# for the screen. EAJ38817301

( Just the part alone )
At shopjimmy.com, you're looking at maybe $240 for the screen.
http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=lg+screen
Sadly, they don't have one in stock right now.

Everywhere else, they are asking well over a $1,000.

My LG 37LC7D is not working

The white/yellow/red cables is solely your DVD to TV cable connection, If you play a DVD do you get the DVD picture? It looks as if you do not have the connection from the cable going into your TV input (aerial connector). If this is connected then you have to retune your TV. this is done by the Menu-set up button on the remote.

Frozen picture on LG LCD 37"

Try One of your working TVS and connect it to your cable outlet of the TV that is having problems. If that TV Does not work then there may be a degraded fitting or the Leg coming of the splitter to that outlet could have a Low Signal Problem
Next Take the First TV that was not working properly and put it on the cable outlet of one of the TVs that is working properly and if the TV set works on that Channel then you know it is not your TV that it must be the cable

My LG 720P turns off by itself.

This is a problem with the power supply. If your out of warranty you have the choice of taking the t.v. in for repair and have the board replaced for $400 bucks or do some disassembling of your own and fix the power supply board yourself. The power supply will look similar to this1c9f6e8.jpg

Check the capacitors for any bulging at the tops. they should be perfectly flat. Any bulging is a sign of a bad capacitor. LG uses Samxon capacitors on their boards. They will be smaller and green. rated 2200µF 10V. If replacing I suggest going to 2200µF 13-16V, so you don't run into the same problem. Where ever you take your board to get soldered should sell the capacitor. Or if soldering yourself check around online or call your local tv repair shops. It should only be 2-3 dollars.

Tv sound

Are you using an HDMI cable from your cable box to the TV? I found that the sound greatly improved and volume control was better after switched to an HDMI cable. Originally I was using component cables that were supplied by the cable company. Note: I bought my HDMI cable on line for $10. I've seen the same cable in the store for $35.
