If you are able to chaneg it from the buttons on it that means theres something wrong with the remote , you can test your remote control by pointing to a digital camera and press the buttons on it while you look at it from digital cameras display , hope that helps

U have the tv original remote wright?U are receiving and getting a Antena tv signal from free AIR DTV broadcasting channels?Yes,search ur tv remote for a button that said CC pushes that button a couple times make sure all functions like CC1,2,3.. to all off.If remote have no CC button,go into the tv menu look for Closed Captioning and Text like 1,2,3.. turn it all to off.The tv program Closed Captioning text on the screen will disapear.If ur are using Cable,Telicom,or satalite pay signals used their remotes.

You should also replace the cable that connects the main board with the control button.
Also replace the control button main board(a motherboard with all the buttons)

finally replace the ribbon that connects it to the main =board since these are the only important things that could still cause the problem you have.

The tv Tuner signal board is the cause and the problems.That the board,where the incomming broadcasting signal cable wire plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.

sound like main logic board bad, google your set and main board and check replace

Try website like Remotes.com to buy an exact remote to the original remote.

try pressing and holding one of the "channel up" or "channel down" buttons for 5 seconds or more... While holding the button, you should see a progress bar that indicates "menu locking" or "menu unlocking". That should fix your problem...I found that out by accident on my TV.

Please check & ensure the infrared is emiting from the remote control. Though we cant see this infrared beam with bare eyes, there is a trick to do so in http://www.unique-stuff.co.cc/fixing_remote_control_check_infrared.html Most of the problems is weakened infared beam. Replace the batteries when needed. Hope this fix the remote control problem.

Check to make sure you do have 5vdc, 12vdc, 24vdc before ordering the new part you do not need.

It can be bad main controller board. Check power supply first.

you will need to temp hook up to w pc to get a signal into it then change it I hate that when that happens

if it is completely white then this sounds like an internal connection problem. If the monitor is under warranty have it repaired through viewsonic under warranty. If not I would still recommend you have it repaired as unless your very confident in your ability you don't want to do any further damage. If you need any further assistance please let me know.

I'm not sure what you mean by "power lock", that phrase is not in the manual. Hopefully you'll find what you need though.

I need a stand as well and can't find one yet but the manual says this Using the Parent Controls 1. Press the MENU button to display the OSD main menu. 2. Press ▲ or ▼ to select the “Parental” menu. 3. Enter the password. (The default password is 0000, which can be changed. There is also a universal password 3660 that remains eternally valid.)

Standard Audio Video or Component. Input on the back of TV. It should be for all intensive purposes "plug n play" Hope this helps. If you need more help, post a comment and I'll help some more

You only get it if they send it. Only Blue Ray DVD's are in 1080p and games I suppose, as of this time. everything else is 480i or 720p. As your manual says "TV CAN GET"--- not produce what isn't there. I hope this helps.
