TruTech T650-DR DVD Recorder Questions & Answers
The recorder's screen is blank
You have developed a power supply problem, to do with the electronics circuitry, the motors supply, is separate. There are no user serviceable parts inside, to even have a shot, you would need a service and repair manual, I have searched, but there is nothing available. You need to get the unit looked at by a TruTech service center, and ask for a "Quote" this way you can decide to repair or replace.
I have tried to load 5 different recordable discs
See if changing recording speed would help. As far as I know the discs should work. Try the discs that you have burned before on another player just to check if there is something wrong with the player.
I accidentaly set my dvd
I think Progressive mode is selected/ activated and causing no video out to your TV, that needs to be deactivated.
Press STOP key on DVD Recorder for 6 seconds to turn progressive Off.
Let me know exact model and brand if problem still unsolved.
Thanks.
How do I record TV
Hi there,
Step 1. Set the recording timer on your DVD recorder to record the chosen program when it comes on, or wait for the show to start and do the recording manually. Place a blank, recordable disc in the tray of your DVD recorder and close the tray.
Step 2. Make notes of where you'd like to insert chapter stops, being ready to skip over commercials and edit them from the program. It helps to have a general idea in advance where to insert chapter breaks. For an hour-long program, chapter breaks every 10 to 15 minutes are convenient when reviewing the program later.
Step 3. Press the "Record" button on the DVD recorder to commence burning the program to DVD. Use the Pause and Edit controls of the DVD recorder to eliminate commercials and create chapter stops on the DVD for easy browsing later. Place the recorded disc in a protective sleeve or case and label it for easy identification later.
Good Luck!!
Thanks

Will This DVD Recorder Burn DVDs from a Desktop?
Ive never seen a standalone DVD recorder that can connect to a pc unless it had a Hard Drive. This model is a Target exclusive company. These devices are designed to record video direct from either Antenna,Cable,VCR,or something such as a game console, or camcorder.
Hope this helps!
HELP
Hi,
There should be no problem with copying home recorded VHS tapes to DVD via the Scart or Video (yellow) output. It may be obvious but have you tried recording directly from other sources such as TV etc. Apologies if this is a trivial suggestion!
Cheers
