this means the unit has exceeded by time allowed for what function u are doing. sounds like a software issue, go to the sharp website and download any firmware/software updates that are avil, this may cure the issue, the factory suppor website is the best place to resolve these kinds of problems rather than a third party like us, that is my advive as an expert.

do an initial reset and restart

Check you keyboard if there isn't any key that is stuck down

If its feeding paper but not printing, make sure that you are using the correct thermal paper and that there is no extra bits of paper stuck under the printing head. Otherwise it might need a replacement printing head. If its not feeding the paper at all, then make sure that the receipt is turned on.
