VX2835M takes a long time to turn on depending on the time turned off
You have a unit with a failing power supply. When the parts called capacitors in the power supply start to fail they can't hold the charge like they should and it take a while for them to build up the charge and allow the power supply to turn on. Once they have a charge built up they work fine until the unit i turned off for a while and their charge drains then it starts over again. Here is a link to a parts kit that you can use to rebuild the power supply board and return the monitor to a working condition.

I have a viewsonic VX2835wm and when i turn it on
In this model the capactors hardly ever dome or vent. Usually you will see the top of the labeling on the capacitor has shrunk a little from it's normal size. If the monitor still has any kind of power (which it does from your comment) you or someone you know can replace those capacitors on the output side of the supply. If you're lucky this will solve your problem. If not, you can always try replacing the four brown electrolytic capacitors on the inverter board (the long board on the left when viewing the monitor from the back). There is a chance this could be caused by the inverter board or even a bad backlight, however I would bet it's the power board. If you don't want to replace the capacitors or replacing them didn't solve the problem, contact Viewsonic at viewsonic.com and get the price of a new power board. They are pretty easy to replace.

Viewsonic VX2835wm won't turn on.
There are 2 boards/parts involved with this problema) The power supply board:The main problem are 4 bad/defective capacitors 1. 22uf 400v2. 47uf 50v3. 1uf 100v4. 22uf 35vYou can find them near the PWM IC controller (U601). Replaced all these capacitors regardless they look good. I pulled them out off the board and tested them with my Blue ESR and capacitor tester and found 3 were defective.Next, you need at least 97% Isoprophyl alcohol and toothbrush to clean the soldering paste. Due to overheating on the primary section / HOT section the soldering leads tend to produce brownish paste which is causing the component parts to SHORT. Concentrate at the back of the board, especially at the U102 (16-pin IC) and Q202 transistor by scrubbing them carefully. I used magnifier to make sure the legs are clean and shiny. Clean the rest of the back and some part on top of the board. Let it dry for 2 hours at least. I did 2 times this cleaning to complete the process. b) The Main BoardThe main board has 2 bad capacitors at C124 and C126. I replaced them and cleaned also the board with alcohol. That's it. I have a Vx2433WM and am using it as a tv for my
I'd check in the control panel under sounds and see what the system thinks the output device is. Probably not the speakers. If not, change the output to your computer speakers.

Vx2835wm
From cold start screen flashes,
Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. The problem happens to me several days ago. It seems that there is a component on the motherboard that has been burnt. If you're familiar with electronics or electronic parts of the lcd then you can just replace the burnt component like the capacitor, transistor or like. If not better to bring it to a service center to have it fixed. Better not to use it because it can more issue on the monitor because other components can get burnt as well.
Thanks

Viewsonic vx2835 lcd display Central
The power switch is a TACTILE momentary switch type, it does not latch. You may ahve bad power supply due to bad caps as you can see in my Viewsonic VX series albums.
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
Please leave rating if it helps.

I would like to know if I can add remote control
Good day,
I think is impossible to to add a remote control if your tv has no IR remote sensor in it. It is only possible to hook up a remote control if you have a PC hook in your tv, by installing PC remote control and TV Tuner that is available in Computer Shops.

Every time I turn on the monitor it takes a little
If you had of stopped trying to get it to work when you knew there was a problem, the repair would have likely been inexpensive and fairly easy to do. It sounds like the capacitors on your power board needed to be replaced.
However, since you kept using it until you killed it, the power board likely needs to be replaced. You can get one from viewsonic.com. Email them and get a price. Make sure the monitor is no longer covered by the 3 year warranty.
Here's a piece of advice. If your car starts making loud banging noises, don't just keep running it. Have it looked at right away. If a piece of electronics starts acting up, deal with it. Don't just keep trying to make it work or you will ruin it completely.
@jitky
If you don't know the difference between a CRT and an LCD you should just stop trying to help people. How you got the rank of "master" is beyond my understanding.

Hi every time i turn
Obviously geikalok is retarded and doesn't know the difference between a monitor and a printer.
You have a vary unusual symptom. What happens when you change the resolution of your computer to match what the monitor can do? It should be able to handle 1920 x 1200 so I doubt your resolution is too high. Unfortunately I think you may be having a problem with your main board, and there is also a slight chance your power board is going bad (which can sometimes cause some unusual symptoms). You first should check to make sure the unit is no longer under the 3 year warranty (if it is, go to viewsonic.com). You can open the unit up and check the power board for capacitors that are bad but that is unusual in this model, although the power board going bad from other causes is not unusual in this model. You can measure the power voltages on the power board, but if they are OK then most likely you will have to have the main board replaced. I would recommend contacting Viewsonic.

Viewsonic vx2835wm monitor, in DVI
You will need to change the resolution of the screen on the computer to 800-600 and the bit to 24bits or 16bits, to do this right click on the windows screen, and click properties, goto settings.
You should see a slider at the bottem left of the screen to adjust the resolution, and a drop down bar on the other side for the bit rate. This should solve the problem, also you could open the scond screen also in the display properties, and drag what you need to see on the screen to that screen, you will know what i mean when you open screen 2 it just expands the desktop. hope this helps.
