Driver windows 8
All drivers for Windows 8 are available on the Microsoft website. Since Windows 7 all drivers need certification, from Microsoft and then you can download them there. All other drivers offered via other sites, could still work fine on older operating systems, but not on Windows 7 or 8.x. So older hardware can't be installed, unless you get certified drivers form Microsoft.

Fixing Errors On Your PC for Windows Vista,7,8 and 8.1
I'm only going to show those interested how to run chkdsk (check disk) and fix errors, there are other commands mostly you'll just want to run this command. Click the Start button in the Search box, type command prompt in the list of results, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. In the command prompt, type in the following command chkdsk C: /F . Only type what is in bold, what this is going to do is check the drive for error and fix those errors. If the drive isn't locked it will bring up a message asking to scan the drive on the next restart click yes, if the drive is locked it will start scanning automatically. This depending on how large your hard drive is can take some time or not, be patient because this usually always fixes issues people are having that call me, other times I have to look at their PCs. Hope this helps you out.

How long does it take to download
Hi
If you haven't got at least 30Mbps on your broadband connection, don't even try it unless you leave it overnight. Also I would have thought that you would be better to go for a more up-to-date version of Windows.
Cheers

Memory violation c0000005
Usually this is either bad RAM or a corrupted file. Check the ram by removing all but one stick and testing them one at a time. Chances are you will find the bad one pretty quick.
If it's a corrupted file do two things. Run SFC /Scannow from an administrative command prompt AND run chkdsk /f t find any bad spots on the drive.
If you find bad spots and corrupted files, back up your data and prepare to get a new hard drive.
good luck

True or false: you should be able to look at a command prompt absolute path and be able to find the file in windows
Yes and no. Windows 7 has many protected and hidden files. If a file or folder is hidden or protected you won't be able to see the absolute path from command prompt. Even if it's started as an administrator. If I had to guess you're probably hunting down a virus? If so I'd borrow a friend's computer and create an Ubuntu live USB and boot your computer from the Live USB. While in Linux use it's console to access the C drive (or your windows drive) to find the virus you're looking for and delete it. You can also run antivirus from the live usb drive.

Pc is choppy audio and video
Assuming that you are watching video in a web browser, there are several possibilities. A lot of video on the web uses Flash Player for rendering, so make sure you are using the latest version which fixes security issues and performance problems. You may also want to clear your Flash cache as well as your web browser's cache files, especially if you are seeing a lot of hard disk activity when this is happening. You may also want to consider cleaning out all of the Windows temp files and directories as well as defragmenting your hard disk.
On a low-bandwidth connection, you may also encounter issues related to buffering. If the player allows changing the size of the buffer, you may want to enlarge it. It will cause the media stream to pull more content before it tries to play it and when there is an interruption in the stream, it has more time to pull more data before the buffer completely empties.
You should also use Task Manager to see how much of your total RAM is being used and page file usage. If you are using a lot of RAM and the system is paging, it will slow down everything but the most obvious ends up being choppy or distorted multimedia playback. If either of these are the case, you may want to add more RAM or reduce the number of currently running processes. Background process can consume a lot of memory or CPU cycles that interfere with your foreground process.
