I cant load my pics to my laptop from my digital camera

Hello Bertus,What happens when you try to transfer it to your laptop using the supplied cable? You must install the software that came with your camera to your laptop in order to transfer the files. OR you can just remove the SD card from your camera and then insert it on your laptop's card reader and just copy the files to your computer.I hope this helped you.If you still can't transfer it, just reply back here with additional info.

When I had a Sony Cybershot, during playback mode the volume was controlled with either the Up, Down or Left, Right buttons (the circle with the little pictures on it; it's been like 3 yrs since I had my Sony) & I could adjust while it was playing. Hope this helps.

Try NOT using the driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as iPhoto on Mac or Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ) on Windows.

The card has become corrupted. You may need to use recovery software to get the photos back. Fortunately, there's plenty of good freeware. But you may also need to purchase a portable USB memory stick card reader to use with the software if you don't have one already (they're very inexpensive on Amazon). Please see this link. If the card reader also fails to recognize the card, then payparticular attention to the corrupted card procedures contained in the same link.

Dsc-s730 camera . The subject appears

a CCD problem would explain the lines on your pictures and the lines on the LCD (since the CCD is used to feed the live image). CCD (Charge Coupled Device) is one of the two main types of image sensors used in digital cameras.

Some symptoms of a defective CCD include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

When a picture is taken, the CCD is struck by light coming through the camera's lens. Each of the thousands or millions of tiny pixels that make up the CCD convert this light into electrons. The number of electrons, usually described as the pixel's accumulated charge, is measured, then converted to a digital value. This last step occurs outside the CCD, in a camera component called an analog-to-digital converter.

In order to correct this issue, the repair facility needs to replace the CCD. This is not something you may do on your own; check this article for additional details: Bad CCDs. This, isn't a good new, but hope helps to solve it.

Hope this helps to solve it (remember to rate and comment this answer).

Take off the SD card and try to copy from other SD reader with connected at PC; if this isn't work, then you should try formatting the card. If that doesn`t help, it looks like the card is faulty.

Its possible that you lost the pics in there.

Flash won't work

If the Forced flash setting is already enabled and the flash is still not working, then the issue may be due to another camera setting. Even if the Forced flash setting is enabled, the flash will still not work in the following circumstances:
  • When shooting MPEG movies.
  • When shooting in the Twilight or Handheld Twilight mode
  • If shooting with the Burst or Multi Burst mode
  • Shooting with Sweep Panorama.
  • Shooting with the Fireworks or High Sensitivity mode.
  • If an external flash is connected.

Please make sure that the Camera is not set to any of these modes. You can check the manual to get the information to change the setting..

If the issue persists, please reset the Camera and make sure that battery is fully charged.

You can use the initialize option on the Menu items to reset the Camera.

If the issue persists after performing all the above mentioned troubleshooting steps, service is required.

Please let me know if you require any further assistance.
