This is a result of the aspect ratio being set to the wrong setting for what video source you are watching. Go into your menu and select picture>aspect ratio>normal. Then play with the five different modes to maximize the picture for the source you are watching.

This kind of problem usually caused by a cold solder of components at the boards.You need to open the back cover of the TV and have a visual inspection on the boards.

here are the boards to check.

1.power supply board -this board is where the power cord is connected use a soldering iron to resolder all the possible loose board components.check also all the connectors/cables be sure it fits the socket and nothing is loose.Replace also any bulging capacitors use capacitor of the same rating.
2.The inverter board- this board is a high voltage board.The power input is 24 volts DC and the output is 100-200 volts be careful not to touch them during power on.The usual faulty here is the wiring connectors just re tighten the connectors and solder the connector terminals.

OSD= On Screen Display. That feature keeps the information such as channel,time, ect.. for a length of time that you choose in the menu on the screen. Some sets let you change the color of it and also the background.

Press the Menu button, go to Option, then select Memory Recall.

The problem sounds like the Power supply module to start with.

it could be your flux capacitor is out. you might need to plug it in goto menus and check to see if ur runnin 21 gigawatts if not leave it plugged in and off for two days and it should refresh it
