Hi,

I think you will find that all of your channels are still there. If you are using digital or digital and analog channels, some of the digital channels may be on "sub-channels". This is explained on page 14 of your Dynex user manual. For some channels you will need to enter the main channel number - e.g. 8 - followed by a decimal point, then the sub-channel number - e.g. 8.3

The decimal point is below the 7 key. The easiest way to check whether you have sub-channels or not is to press the GUIDE key in the top-right corner of the remote for a complete list of the digital channels.

It's difficult to determine what is causing the 'fuzzy' picture. I would advise you to disconnect the coax connection at the back of the TV, inspect it for any damage, then re-connect it. It could also be caused by interference from another electrical device. Some TVs have better interference suppression than others and it's possible that your old Toshiba was better at eliminating interference.

There is also the possibility that you bought a lemon. I suggest you concentrate on making sure you have all the channels first then we can look at possible reasons and cures for the fuzzy picture. You don't want to spend too much time (or money!) getting it right if you can't get all the channels and you end up returning it to the shop.

If you are referring to a cable signal on your tv set, then there are several ways, but first off, how do you know the signal is weak? Analog cable signals typically run at 30 to 40 percent while HD signals on the same line can be as high as 90%.
If your cable connections are firm and have no fray with good cable runs, and is not longer than needed, I would suggest calling the cable company tech support line for troubleshooting. It could be their error in an outside line.

Do you have a cable or satellite box connected to the TV? If so the box is probably what is providing the Closed Caption and not the TV.

For this TV, the TV speaker on/off is independent of the headphone jack. Make sure the plug for the headset fully seated in the jack (mono versus stereo fit differently).

On the dvd player and on your tv, you should have 3 jacks. Yellow, for video, Red for sound, and white for sound. Just match the colors. Then on your tv, change the channel to AV or Input

Easy, You plug either the HDMI cable into one of the HDMI inputs and then plug it into the XBOX 360. If you are using either the component or composite cables then plug them into the proper color coded input.

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.


Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companies Philips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.


Here are some options for you.


1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is it under warranty?)

Remember, TVs CONTAIN HIGH VOLTAGE AND CAN KILL YOU! Do this at your own risk.

2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cord plugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found online. I would definitely shop around though.


3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.


This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be.

okay lets do a cable check... cable from wall /outside connected to cable box in, from the cable box out to (please note any DVD recorder or VCR should be connected here if you have and then on to TV) TV in ..... TV on , turn to channel 3 (this should be the only ch locked on the TV no scan is needed) you are using coaxial cables... if this was/is a hi def connection (your set should be on component)

your tvs samps transformer may has no problem. the fuse blows because there is some other components which drives the smps transformer may be faulty. check the smps driving mofets of that three transformers before buying a new transformer. also check the MOV placed after fuse. if it is shorted the fuse will blows.

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.
